The Quantum Leap revival lasted two seasons on NBC, but several ideas were floating around for a third season before the show was canceled in 2024. The sci-fi series is a continuation of the 1989 TV series, taking place 30 years later and following a new team of physicists as they reactivate the Quantum Leap project and attempt to save a colleague from being trapped in the past. Quantum Leap's fandom has only expanded after NBC aired the 2022 revival, which was canceled after only two seasons. Thankfully, the reboot series is getting a second wind this August on streaming.
Quantum Leap fans can relish the reboot series when it hits Netflix on Aug. 14. NBC’s time-travel drama Quantum Leap is about to find new life on Netflix. Netflix has now picked up the divisive remake of a beloved ‘80s sci-fi series, with the platform all set to stream the two seasons of the show. While the platform has become infamously synonymous with canceling shows way before their time, the streamer is also good at picking up lesser-known or underappreciated gems. And such is the case here. Beginning back in 2022, the revival of Quantum Leap picks up three decades after the original series, with a new team led by physicist Ben Song (Raymond Lee) having been assembled to restart the project in the hope of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. Everything changes, however, when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving the team behind to solve the mystery of why he did it.

The Ghostbusters are some of Hollywood’s most iconic heroes. They’re symbols of blue-collar working stiffs—getting their hands dirty and making a difference. They’re also sleazy, cheesy, greasy and… easy?
But what fascinates me the most is that from 1984 to the present day, these characters haven’t really evolved… at all.
What started as four regular dudes with beer guts, coffee-stained teeth, and dandruff remains basically the same—even into their 70s. I mean, Venkman is still a sarcastic lady-killer, Egon is cold and calculated, Ray is naive and excitable, and Winston is… just there for the money.
And for every square-jawed, barrel-chested Boy Scout in movies today, there are a hundred of us regular dudes who can look at the Ghostbusters and see something that sticks. All of that to say: the Ghostbusters are… kind of assholes.

Danny Reagan’s youngest son Sean will look a little different when he appears alongside his dad on CBS’ upcoming drama series Boston Blue. Mika Amonsen has been cast as a series regular opposite Donnie Wahlberg on the Blue Bloods offshoot, taking over the role of Sean Reagan.
On Blue Bloods, Sean was played by Andrew Terraciano who recurred throughout the series’ 14-season run. According to sources, the recasting stems from the character taking a new creative direction on Boston Blue as he follows the Reagans’ career path into law enforcement. Meanwhile, the addition of Sean to the offshoot helps explain Danny’s move from his native New York to Boston.
On Boston Blue, Wahlberg reprises his role as NYPD Detective Danny Reagan as he takes a position with Boston Pd. Once in Boston, he is paired with Detective Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green), the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family.

Although “Boston Blue” is a direct offshoot of “Blue Bloods,” the Reagan family will look a bit different this time around. Mika Amonsen has joined the CBS drama in a series regular role playing the youngest son of Donnie Wahlberg’s character, Danny Reagan.
Andrew Terraciano portrayed Sean in 292 of the 293 episodes of “Blue Bloods.”
Per CBS, in the new series, Sean has “relocated to Boston to start a new chapter as a Boston Pd patrolman. Sean committed himself to pursuing his family’s legacy but wanted to do so on his own terms, which meant joining a department outside of his hometown. Danny’s decision to stay in Boston gives this father and son duo a chance to reconnect on a deeper level.”
Amonsen has appeared in “Reacher” for Prime Video and starred in Eli Roth’s “Thanksgiving.”

John Diggle actor David Ramsey reflects on how the Arrowverse had to fight hard for their Green Lantern storyline before having to scrap the DC plot altogether. While the Arrowverse franchise accomplished many arcs during its run, the payoff to their Green Lantern tease was one of the biggest complications.
After many years of foreshadowing Diggle's transformation to become a Green Lantern, The Flash season 8 brought it to an abrupt end, with Ramsey's character rejecting the mystery box's invitation. This obviously frustrated many viewers to see the Green Lantern storyline in the Arrowverse never getting a chance to shine.

Donnie Wahlberg explained Danny Reagan's continuing arc in Boston Blue. He also had great news for Blue Bloods fans hoping to see a family reunion in the offshoot.
Danny Reagan may be starting over in Boston Blue, but he's not flying solo. Speaking to Parade, Donnie Wahlberg hinted at guest appearances from the Blue Bloods cast in the offshoot. Asked if Tom Selleck's Frank Reagan would occasionally check in on Danny, in person or via FaceTime calls, Wahlberg said fans can also expect even more Reagan family cameos. "New York and Boston are really close. They're not that far apart," he explained. "You covered a lot of possible ways for people to drop in on us."
Boston Blue's initial storyline will have to explain why Danny would leave the NYPD and relocate to Boston. The Reagans have been serving the city of New York for four generations; it's their heritage and calling.

As long as Donnie Wahlberg has something to say about it, the Reagan family name will always live on. During a recent chat with Parade, the Blue Bloods star opened up about his highly-anticipated offshoot series, Boston Blue, which will follow his Detective Danny Reagan up the coast from New York to Boston. Since the project was announced earlier this year, fans of the flagship have been wondering whether it will turn into a Reagan family affair which could see various members of the original cast dropping by for cameos and guest spots. Specifically, audiences are hoping that the one and only Tom Selleck, who appeared as family patriarch Frank Reagan, will swing by the Massachusetts city for a visit with his son.

Disney / Pixar will be releasing the new “Toy Story 5” film on June 19, 2026.
Now we know who the villain of the next film will be, a Leap Pad adjacent character called Lillypad.
For those that don’t remember the Leap Pad debuted in 1999 but gained popularity in the early 2000s.
Made by Leap Frog, whose logo is a frog, the early Leap Pads were green. My son had one when he was little and that is why my mind went to the Leap Pad when I saw the Lillypad.
