Say Goodbye to Alfred Hitchcock’s Last Ever Movie on Netflix Very Soon
Image
It was Alfred Hitchcock's last movie, and this is your last chance to stream it on Netflix. Family Plot, Hitchcock's final stint in the director's chair, is leaving Netflix at the end of July. The suspense thriller with a pseudo-supernatural twist stars Bruce Dern and Karen Black. An adaptation of Victor Canning's 1972 novel The Rainbird Pattern, Family Plot reunited Hitchcock with screenwriter Ernest Lehman, who had previously penned North by Northwest for the director. The two clashed over the screenplay: Lehman wanted a darker film, while Hitchcock preferred it to be more comedic.

It was also the only time that Hitchcock worked with another Hollywood legend: John Williams composed the score for the film. Hitchcock encouraged the composer to take a light touch with the score, telling him, "Mr. Williams, murder can be fun." While the film is not considered to be one of Hitchcock's masterpieces, critical...

So many Star Trek actors almost starred in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction -- and one did!
Image
The wildly diverse worlds of Star Trek and Quentin Tarantino’s arguably best film, Pulp Fiction, overlapped during the run of Star Trek: Picard. That’s when Amanda Plummer, who played Honey Bunny in Pulp Fiction, portrayed Picard’s season 3’s main antagonist, Vadic. Plummer, the daughter of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country co-star Christopher Plummer, appeared in six episodes as the changeling captain of the Shrike.

But a look at a casting memo written by Tarantino in advance of production on Pulp Fiction reveals that several future and past Star Trek figures were at least considered for roles in the writer-director’s film. Tim Roth ultimately starred as Pumpkin, but among those on Tarantino’s list of potential actors for the role was Christian Slater. A massive Star Trek fan and the son of Star Trek VI casting director Mary Jo Slater, Christian cameoed in VI as a...

Hollow Man (2000) – The Test of Time
Image
You have your monsters like zombies, vampires, and werewolves and then you have your monsters like Dr. Frankenstein, Ardeth Bay, and Jack Griffin. While we may gripe that Werewolves and certainly Mummies don’t get nearly the representation they are due, they still show up at a higher frequency than we give them credit for either in things like The Monster Squad or their own series like the Brendan Fraser Mummy films or the Underworld flicks. The two classic series monsters that most seem to be forgotten about either with their film output or quality of roles are undoubtedly The Phantom of the Opera and The Invisible Man. While I could talk all day about Phantom of the Mall or Phantom of the Paradise, 2025 marks a 25th anniversary for a bonkers and yet somehow faithful in tone mad scientist that breaks the laws of physics and makes not only his physical appearance,...

Why The Director Of Robocop Hated His Horror Movie With Kevin Bacon
Image
Despite the fact that critics lambasted it at the time of its release, and audiences learned to hate it over time (with a small percentage who now treat it as a cult horror), I will die as a "Hollow Man" fan one day. Paul Verhoeven's 2000 feature is a bonkers, pseudo-serious B horror that slowly turns into a devilish guilty pleasure over its nearly two-hour runtime.

However, it was perhaps fair to ask at the time: Did it live up to the high standards the Dutch director established with all-time classics such as "Robocop," "Starship Troopers," or "Total Recall"? It did not. Has it offered any profound message under its CGI and science-heavy context whatsoever? Nope. Was it mean and unmitigated fun for young horror lovers? Hell yeah! Did it have Kevin Bacon embracing his inner villain and donning a s***-eating grin all the time? It sure did.

What...

David Fincher
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood | David Fincher-directed sequel set in 1977
David Fincher
Said to tell “the further adventures of Cliff Booth,” David Fincher’s sequel to Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is set eight years after that film’s events.

In early April, word began to circulate that David Fincher is to direct a sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. The script is by Tarantino himself, but for the first time in decades, he’s leaving the filmmaking process to someone else. It was said that Brad Pitt was to star, and that Fincher will begin shooting the untitled follow-up this July.

Since then, a few more potential details have emerged. Sean Fennessey, the co-host of The Big Picture Podcast, appears to have some connections to Tarantino himself, and he’s heard one or two plot points over the grapevine.

Appearing to confirm earlier reports, Brad Pitt will indeed be reprising his role as the stuntman (and possible murderer…...

Michael Richards Followed Up Seinfeld With A Major Television Flop
Image
Prior to his work on the hit 1989 sitcom "Seinfeld," comedian and actor Michael Richards might have been best-known for his amazing performance in the same year's cult comedy "Uhf," playing the hapless, heroic janitor Stanley Spadowski. Others may also recognize him for playing a violent murderer in "Problem Child," or the slapstick butler Fejos in "Transylvania 6-5000." Of course, those who were watching the ABC stand-up series "Fridays" back in 1980, would already have known Richards for his comedy. By the time "Seinfeld" appeared in his path, Richards was already an experienced performer.

"Seinfeld," of course, made Richards a millionaire and a household name. Playing the role of Cosmo Kramer netted him three Emmys, and it led to high-profile roles in studio comedy films like "Airheads," and "Trial and Error." He would remain popular until an infamous 2006 incident at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood, California, wherein he aggressively berated hecklers with racial epithets.

The Correct Order To Watch Kiefer Sutherland's 24 Franchise
Image
Joel Surnow's and Robert Cochran's espionage series "24" debuted on November 6, 2001, and boy howdy was American ready for it. "24" followed the travails and missions of a special law enforcement agency called the Counter-Terrorist Unit and focused primarily on its ethics-optional star agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland). Every season of "24" revealed that evil international terrorists had secured some kind of doomsday device and Jack Bauer had to run around Los Angeles locating baddies, torturing them for information, and kicking in whatever heads needed kicking.

The show took off in popularity, largely because it matched the politics of the time. It debuted only a month after 9/11, and the "get the terrorists" rhetoric of the George W. Bush administration was already proliferating into entertainment. Americans had a lot of militant anger, and TV violence took on a darker edge. "24" was maybe the purest example of the way pop...

Irv Wilson, a former programming executive at NBC and producer of several high profile TV movies that starred Jerry Lewis, Martin Sheen, Telly Savalas, Bruce Dern and Morgan Freeman, died December 26 after a short illness. He was 93.

His death was confirmed by his longtime friend, Tom Nunan, who paid tribute to Wilson on Facebook by writing, “Wilson loved life, and anyone who became close to him knew that a good glass of red wine, a little weed, [his wife’s] cooking, and a Giants game came pretty close to heaven for the well-loved, culturally complex maven.”

Born in New York City, Wilson served in the Korean war before returning to the Big Apple to attend NYU via the G.I. Bill. He would go on to spend his career in the entertainment industry, first as a talent agent and producer, then as a TV programming executive for NBC where he oversaw the TV movie department and later,...

Jeremy Allen White's Underrated Crime Thriller Is Now Streaming for Free
Image
An underrated crime thriller starring Emmy-winning actor Jeremy Allen White is now available to stream for free. The actor has enjoyed an already impressive career since breaking onto the scene in 2011 as Lip Gallagher in Shameless. In addition to numerous indie films like The Rental and Fingernails, White played Kerry Von Erich in A24's The Iron Claw and, of course, Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto in FX and Hulu's The Bear. He is also currently filming Deliver Me from Nowhere, a Bruce Springsteen biopic in which White plays the Boss himself.

Sometimes entries in an actor's filmography are released to little fanfare and await rediscovery. That's certainly the case with Bad Turn Worse, also known as We Gotta Get Out of This Place, a 2013 crime thriller starring White, Mackenzie Davis, Logan Huffman (Final Girl), William Devane (The Dark Knight Rises), Mark Pellegrino, and John Gries (The White Lotus). Jesse Stone's Creator Gave Tom Selleck Two Rules For The Character (That The Next Film Should Break)
Image
The creator of Jesse Stone gave Tom Selleck two simple rules to follow when it came to adapting the character - but the tenth film should finally break them. Magnum, P.I. may remain Selleck's most famous role, but he's been fortunate to have a few across his decades-long career. There's also Police Commissioner Frank Reagan on Blue Bloods, which is drawing to a close after 14 seasons in 2024. There's also the Jesse Stone movie series; a collection of TV films that follow Selleck's titular police chief.

The original entry Stone Cold was a shock hit for CBS in 2005, leading to a run of sequels. The most recent was Jesse Stone: Lost in Paradise, the only installment produced by The Hallmark Channel after CBS dropped the series. Selleck's Blue Bloods schedule kept him from returning to Jesse Stone, but now his schedule is freeing up, fans are hopeful he will don...

Tom Selleck ‘Frustrated’ by CBS Canceling ‘Blue Bloods’? Time to Bring Back ‘Jesse Stone’
Image
Tom Selleck is not happy.

The “Blue Bloods” star does not understand why CBS is canceling the show after its 14-year run, considering how successful it still is.

“I’m kind of frustrated,” Selleck told TV Insider. “During those last eight shows, I haven’t wanted to talk about an ending for ‘Blue Bloods’ but about it still being wildly successful. In a Top 100 Shows of 2023-2024 (in total viewers, we were number 9 out of 100), if you discount the three football shows, we’re #6! I’m not going to turn into a bitter old guy saying, ‘Get off my lawn!’ I don’t believe in holding grudges, but if you were to say to the television network, ‘Here’s a show you can program in the worst time slot you got, and it is going to guarantee you winning Friday night for the next 15 years,’ it would be almost impossible to believe.

After M*A*S*H, Robert Altman Made the Saddest Western Ever
Image
Despite initial panning, McCabe & Mrs. Miller stands as one of Altman's top works, praised for its moody melancholy and anti-western approach. Iconic performances by Julie Christie & Warren Beatty emphasize the movie's themes of unrequited love and economic commodification. The film's haunting Leonard Cohen score and bleak cinematography add to its enduring sadness, making it a must-see for cinephiles.

One of the most iconoclastic filmmakers of the 1970s, Robert Altman marched to the beat of his own artistic drum. Following the massive success of the hit 1970 Vietnam War comedy M*A*Sh*, the maverick director completely changed directions and delivered one of the saddest revisionist Westerns in McCabe & Mrs. Miller. The movie stars Warren Beatty and Julie Christie as the title characters, wayward souls who find loving solace in each other's company on the unforgiving Western frontier in the early 1900s.

In addition to being selected for preservation by the U.

Review: John Flynn’s Rolling Thunder on Shout! Factory 4K Uhd Blu-ray
Image
John Flynn’s Rolling Thunder is a lean, mean revenge thriller that could have only been made in the 1970s. It’s 1973, to be exact, and Major Charles Rane (William Devane) has recently returned to San Antonio after several years in a Viet Cong prison camp. Greeted with a hero’s welcome, Rane has little use for his neighbors’ praise, which he appears to regard (correctly) as an almost poignantly inadequate expression of collective survivor’s guilt.

Rane, along with his friend and fellow veteran Johnny Vohden (Tommy Lee Jones), inhabits the film with a calm pragmatism that might be disconcerting for viewers accustomed to cinema’s more overheated depictions of soldiers coming home. The men don’t appear to resent the friends and family who’re blessedly ignorant of the atrocities they experienced abroad, but the soldiers no longer possess the facilities necessary to uphold basic social conventions such...

This Early '80s Kevin Costner Disaster Movie Is Shockingly Accurate
Image
As far as disaster movies go, 1983's Testament is a far cry from some of the sweeping and epic apocalyptic films that most of today's directors specialize in. It has almost no special effects and very little action, but the message that resonates is just as powerful as a massive asteroid headed for Earth or a pandemic contagion. It is a slow, gut-wrenching burn that will have you rethinking what is important to you by the time the final credits roll. It also has a terrific starring ensemble cast including Jane Alexander in what was an Oscar-nominated role, a versatile William Devane, and a very young Kevin Costner before he became the Kevin Costner that we know today. In Testament, he is just a struggling young actor who is trying to make a name for himself in Hollywood just like all the other aspiring performers who head West in search of fame and fortune.

The Correct Order To Watch The Jesse Stone Movies
Image
Somewhere, at this very moment, someone's dad is probably watching one of the Jesse Stone movies on DVD, and that man is having a great afternoon. After this, he might pop in "Ford v. Ferrari" for the seventh time.

The character of Jesse Stone began his life in a series of airport novels written by the late Robert B. Parker. The first Jesse Stone novel, "Night Passage," was published in 1997 and it followed the titular former LAPD detective (and divorced recovering alcoholic) as he investigated money laundering and murder in Paradise, Massachusetts. Parker had a hit on his hands with "Night Passage," and proceeded to writer eight additional Jesse Stone novels from 1998 up until his death in 2010. Jesse Stone had become an institution at that point, and other authors began writing Stone novels in Parker's style. There have been 11 additional Jesse Stone novels written after Parker's death.

Starting in 2005, Jesse...

M. Emmet Walsh, Actor in ‘Blood Simple’ and ‘Blade Runner,’ Dies at 88
Image
M. Emmet Walsh, the wily character actor who became an audience favorite for his deliciously despicable performances in such films as Blood Simple, Blade Runner, Brubaker and The Jerk, has died. He was 88.

Walsh died Tuesday in St. Albans, Vermont, his longtime manager, Sandy Joseph, told The Hollywood Reporter. The cause was cardiac arrest.

With his distinctive lumbering form and droll delivery, Walsh was an ideal supporting player. A master of off-kilter comic delivery and dogged edginess, he excelled at roles that dwelled in the darker corners of humanity. No matter whom he played, he made a colorful impact.

“A consummate old pro of the second-banana business, Walsh has left his mark on 109 movies and counting, with the grin of that big bastard who stands between you and something else — and knows it,” Nicolas Rapold wrote in a 2011 profile of the actor for L.A. Weekly.

In the same piece, Walsh...

Rolling Thunder: One of Tarantino’s favorite movies is coming to 4K Blu-ray
Image
If you know your Quentin Tarantino lore, you’ll know that one of his favourite films of all time is John Flynn’s Rolling Thunder. A gritty revenge flick, the 1977 movie was such an influence on Tarantino that he named his short-lived distribution company, Rolling Thunder Pictures, after it. He explains his love of the film in detail in his epic film book, Cinema Speculation. Now, the film is set to get a 4K special edition courtesy of Shout Factory, which comes packed with extras.

If you’ve never seen it, Rolling Thunder is a pretty incredible film. Paul Schrader originally wrote it, but it was heavily rewritten by Heywood Gould (Cocktail). It follows a Nam P.O.W., Major Charles Rane (William Devane), who returns to his home in San Antonio after seven years in Hanoi. Having long come to terms with the fact that he was unlikely ever to return home,...

If you ever happen across Tommy Lee Jones in a public setting, should you find yourself sharing an elevator with him or spot him across the room in a restaurant, do yourself a favor and leave him be. If you're at all adept at reading body language, you should realize fairly quickly that the man is a walking "do not disturb" sign. Should you try to engage, know that he will swiftly and bluntly shut you down. Whatever bond you feel you've formed with Jones, it doesn't extend beyond the movie theater or your television screen. Not for him.

If you ever get the opportunity to interview Tommy Lee Jones, prepare. Do your research, write your very specific questions down well in advance and do not deviate. If you ask good, thoughtful questions, you'll get a good interview. Do not try to have a conversation. If your inquiries ramble or,...

Kevin Bacon’s Critically Panned Invisible Man Adaptation Gets Glowing Review From VFX Artists 23 Years Later
Image
Hollow Man, Kevin Bacon's critically panned adaptation of The Invisible Man, gets a glowing review from VFX artists 23 years after its initial release. Directed by Paul Verhoeven, the film tracks Sebastian Caine (Bacon), a scientist who develops an invisibility serum and becomes dangerous when he is unable to reverse his own transformation. In addition to Bacon, Hollow Man stars Elisabeth Shue, Josh Brolin, Kim Dickens, and Greg Grunberg. Despite the negative reception, Hollow Man performed well at the box office and earned praise for its special effects.

In Corridor Crew's recent video, VFX artists looked at some Hollow Man scenes and broke down their impressive CGI. When it came to Sebastian's transformation, they lauded the film's tracking and how his muscles appeared. In another sequence, where fire sprinklers get Sebastian wet, the artists explained that Bacon was actually present, wearing all black, and were impressed by the way objects could be seen through him.

Cannes 2023 Dispatch: Quentin Tarantino Presents Rolling Thunder in 35mm, Talks About Paul Schrader and John Ford
Image
Quentin Tarantino arrived at the Cannes International Film Festival to participate in the activities of the Quinzaine des Cinéastes. For those responsible for this parallel section of the festival, the presence of the Hollywood director meant historical rectification, because more than 30 years ago, they missed the opportunity to have the director's first film, Reservoir Dogs, in their selection. So to redeem themselves, this time the Quinzaine des Cinéastes gave Tarantino full freedom to choose a film to screen at the Croisette Theater on the afternoon of Thursday, May 25. The choice was kept secret until Tarantino himself revealed that we would watch one of his old favorites on 35mm: John Flynn's Rolling Thunder, in which William Devane is a former Pow who fought in Vietnam. Shortly...

Exclusive: Quentin Tarantino, sitting in the shade on the Carlton Hotel terrace, revealed to this column that his new film will indeed be about a movie critic from the 1970s but he stressed that it won’t be about the New Yorker’s Pauline Kael. Instead, it will be based on a man who wrote for a porno magazine.

Tarantino was speaking to this columnist ahead of announcing a special screening in Directors’ Fortnight this afternoon of John Flynn’s 1977 movie Rolling Thunder starring William Devane. Today’s event is billed as as a ‘Rendezvous-vous with Quentin Tarantino’.

Quentin Tarantino Aims To 'Remake' Movies From The '70s Within His Next Film, The Movie Critic
Image
Whenever Quentin Tarantino makes a movie, the movie news apparatus kicks into overdrive. Ideally, we would walk in cold to every movie, but with Tarantino there's a breadcrumb dropping game that invites us to suss out plot details. For years, it was common for his scripts to get leaked to the internet (and he seemed relatively okay with this), but he was furious when an early draft of "The Hateful Eight" made the cyber rounds prior to shooting. He wasn't done, and he didn't want the public taking a look under the hood before he was done calibrating the engine.

The plot of "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" was kept almost completely under wraps until its 2019 Cannes debut, and I expected more of the same with his next (and purportedly final) feature, "The Movie Critic." But minor details have been seeping out here and there, and Paul Schrader just...

‘Master Gardener’ Writer-Director Paul Schrader Still Packs a Punch
Image
With “Master Gardner,” writer-director Paul Schrader completes what has been dubbed his “Lonely Man” trilogy — but the man behind “American Gigolo” and “The Mosquito Coast” has returned to the same preoccupations and themes over his long career. The only thing that’s really changed is his approach to filmmaking.

“The last three films I’ve made in about 20 days each,” Schrader told IndieWire’s Filmmaker Toolkit podcast. “I’m shooting more quote-unquote film — even though we don’t shoot film — I’m shooting more images and getting more images in the chip to, like we say, in the 20 days than I did in 40.”

Part of that leanness is attributed to Schrader’s understanding of what is and isn’t needed, even before arriving on set. His scripts are now a tight 70-80 pages, while in the early ’80s they tended to hover around 115. “When you’re working on a tight budget,...

12 Underrated Apocalyptic Movies That Deserve Your Attention
Image
The threat of global apocalypse has influenced genre filmmaking from the very beginning. One of the earliest apocalyptic films we have a record of is 1916's "The End Of The World," which illustrates the disastrous consequences of a comet that flies near Earth. The plot is often understood as a response to the near-apocalyptic event of 1910, when Halley's Comet got a little too close for comfort. World events themselves became quite apocalyptic during WWII, but films of this nature actually weren't popular at the time; the news provided enough scares.

The first real heyday of apocalyptic filmmaking came in the 1950s, when the atomic bomb, the Cold War, and the space race stoked fears about impending doom. This fascination with the world ending continued throughout the century. The Cold War lasted through the 1980s, after all, though the ideological focus of these movies changed over time. The 1990s took these movies to an expensive,...

12 Underrated Alfred Hitchcock Movies Worth Watching
Image
Alfred Hitchcock is one of the most important and influential directors in cinema history, and anyone aspiring to become a filmmaker should do themselves a favor and study his body of work. This one man pioneered numerous filmmaking techniques still used today, shot some of the industry's most famous scenes, elevated the thriller genre to new heights, and achieved so much more than can be crammed into this paragraph. In fact, there's an argument to be made that Hitchcock's genius is so great that simply watching his movies is a fine substitute for enrolling in an expensive film school.

With a career dating all the way back to 1925's "The Pleasure Garden", it's no wonder why Hitchcock has so many classic films to his credit. "Psycho," "Vertigo," "North by Northwest," "The Birds," "Rear Window" –- it's hard to believe that all of these iconic, diverse films and others came from the same mind.

William Goldman’s international conspiracy thriller provides Dustin Hoffman with an outright ‘action man’ star vehicle. The public applauded supporting star Laurence Olivier, who with just a few gestures creates a terrifying villain: “Is it safe?” William Devane and Marthe Keller co-star. We wish Roy Scheider’s character could have continued in a series of crime thrillers — he brings genuine movie star charisma. The story is by William Goldman, from his own book.

Quentin Tarantino’s Cinema Speculation: 5 Movies & Where to Find Them
Image
If you’re a film fanatic, one book that’s absolutely worth checking out is Quentin Tarantino’s Cinema Speculation (buy it here). On the brilliant Video Archives podcast (which you really should be listening to), Tarantino downplays the autobiographical nature of the book, which is mostly about his reactions to the films that were seminal to him as a child of the seventies. But, along with the film analysis, there’s a lot of interesting, autobiographical material that adds up to a nostalgic depiction of a young film fan coming of age. For a lot of us, it’s tough not to relate.

With that in mind, Tarantino’s formative films are likely different than the ones from those of us who grew up a generation or so later, but every single movie that he mentions is well worth seeking out. Here are five to get started with:

Testament

To the short list of ‘classic’ nuclear horror on Blu-ray we can now add the one that hits closest to home. Lynne Littman’s harrowing film stays small-scale and Big Emotion, enduring a slow extermination for an innocent family. A little California town loses contact with the rest of the world, and hope fades as the awful reality sinks in. Jane Alexander, Lukas Haas, and William Devane star in a TV movie so affecting that Paramount gave it a theatrical release. The disc has two commentaries and a selection of 20th anniversary features.

Paul Bettany (‘A Very British Scandal’): Emmys redemption following last year’s ‘WandaVision’ loss?
Image
In 2021, “WandaVision” star Paul Bettany made history as the first man to be Emmy-nominated for a lead performance on a Marvel TV series, thus laying the groundwork for 2022 hopefuls Tom Hiddleston (“Loki”), Oscar Isaac (“Moon Knight”) and Jeremy Renner (“Hawkeye”). Although he lost the last Best TV Movie/Limited Series Actor race to Ewan McGregor (“Halston”), he may now get an immediate second shot at the same prize based on his work on “A Very British Scandal.” Luckily for him, there is ample precedent for back-to-back bids in this category.

The first man recognized twice in a row for TV movie and/or limited series roles was Mickey Rooney. His example has been followed by 16 others, beginning with George C. Scott. Next came Hal Holbrook and Laurence Olivier, the latter of whom then became the category’s first three-time consecutive nominee with his 1975 bid for “Love Among the Ruins.”

‘Rolling Thunder’ Blu-ray Review
Image
Stars: William Devane, Tommy Lee Jones, Linda Haynes | Written by Paul Schrader, Heywood Gould | Directed by John Flynn

This is a film that has a reputation. Regarded as somewhat of an exploitation classic, Rolling Thunder has – thanks to its unavailability – seemingly passed into legend amongst movie fans and after the last Blu-ray from a decade ago(!) went out of print, and now costs a fortune on the secondary market, next week’s [re]release has become one of the most anticipated of the year for some, myself included – for me mainly because I sold my Studio Canal Blu some time ago for mucho dinero and regretted it.

The plot goes something like this: after spending eight years in a Vietcong prison camp, Major Charles Rane (William Devane) returns home to a small town in Texas to be greeted as a hero with a Cadillac convertible and a couple of thousand dollars in silver coins,...

Titus Welliver at an event for Lost : Les Disparus (2004)
Even though Bosch has wrapped seven great seasons on Amazon Prime Video, Harry Bosch’s story is still far from over! The police procedural streaming series, starring Titus Welliver as LA Police detective Harry Bosch, continues in new format with a new title – Bosch: Legacy.

But don’t call it a spinoff, as star Welliver doesn’t truly categorize it as such. “I shudder to call it a spin-off because it’s really not; it’s just the continuing saga of Harry Bosch,” he told EW. “He’s in a different place, but it’s a continuation… A lot is revealed toward the end of this final season of Bosch — I do air quotes on that, ‘final season’ — which lays the foundation for where we will find these three characters as we open the new show.”

Indeed it did, and Bosch: Legacy dishes out exactly what its title promises. Two...

Titus Welliver Says Bosch: Legacy Is More a 'Natural Progression' vs. Spinoff — Plus, His Take on 'Freevee' Name
Image
Harry Bosch is back on the case — though a different kind of one — as Bosch: Legacy hits Freevee (fka IMDb TV, Amazon’s free streaming hub) this Friday.

A spinoff of Prime Video’s seven-season adaptation of Michael Connelly’s Bosch novels, Bosch: Legacy again stars Titus Welliver as the former LAPD detective, who a year-and-a-half after the events of the previous series’ finale is finding work here and there as a private detective. (Harry being Harry, he relies solely on word of mouth and won’t give out his number.)
