The actor, who starred opposite Drake Bell in the mid-2000s sitcom, made a recent appearance on the Syd & Olivia Talk Sh*t podcast, where he opened up about the memorable “Josh Runs Into Oprah” episode in season four.

When asked how the show got away with the scene, which sees Josh’s character (who is known as the biggest Winfrey fan throughout the series) seemingly hit the talk show host, Peck responded, “I don’t know. I know we don’t have her permission. A hundred percent we don’t.”

The actor recalled using a “non-sanctioned Oprah double” to film the scene. “She was a stunt lady, because she had to do the roll over the car.

The Oprah Winfrey Show is, without a doubt, one of the most influential talk shows in TV history, but Oprah Winfrey isn't too sure that she wants to bring it back. Winfrey's syndicated TV series premiered on September 8, 1986, and ran for 25 seasons and over 4,500 episodes. It all came to an end on May 25, 2011.

Jamie Bennett, a longtime TV executive at CBS and Disney who developed Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee and other popular syndicated shows, has died. He was 78.

His family told Deadline that Bennett died July 6 of cancer.

He spent 13 years in executive posts at CBS including as program director of Wbbm-tv in Chicago and eslewhere, eventually serving as Vice President and General Manager of Kcbs-tv in Los Angeles. After that he moved to the Walt Disney Company as Senior VP of Buena Vista Television Productions, where he developed such popular syndie fare as Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee, Siskel and Ebert and Win, Lose or Draw.
