Ralph Fiennes opened up about filming his 2002 rom-com Maid in Manhattan alongside Jennifer Lopez.

The 61-year-old actor played a politician named Chris Marshall in the movie. Chris met and fell in love with the 55-year-old actress’ character Marisa Ventura, who was a maid at the hotel he was staying in.

During a recent interview, Ralph revisited the film and recalled feeling “a little bit lost” while shooting it.

“It was rom-com writing. It was light,” he told People. “[But] I think I felt a little bit at sea sometimes.”

Why? Because he wasn’t familiar with the intricacies of American politics.

“[I wondered] ‘Now, who is this Republican senator?’ My antennae for things American — I think — got better since. But then I think I was kind sometimes a little bit lost,” he admitted.

The movie also allowed him to work with the late Natasha Richardson, who he described as a friend.

And at the films premiere almost 30 years ago, the then CEO of Disney actually asked Lohan where her sister was when they bumped into one another. The actress recently recalled her snarky retort for then-Disney CEO Michael Eisner when he asked her “Where’s your twin?” after she starred in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap.

“I was so young, I don’t even know how I thought to say this, but I’ll never forget what I said,” she recalled on Watch What Happens Live. “I said, ‘Well, you should’ve paid me double, because I don’t have one.'”

Directed by Nancy Meyers, The Parent Trap stars Lohan as twins Hallie and Annie, who discover they were separated at birth when they end up at the same summer camp. At the end of the summer, they agree to switch places in attempt to get their mother (Natasha Richardson) and father (Dennis Quaid) back together.
