Wanted to launch his niece Nomita Nischal (Morrison) for the film Champion opposite Bobby Deol in 1991. This was to be Bobby Deol's launching film. Nomita is also the daughter of actor Navin Nischol. The film Champion was previously being made by Shekhar Kapur with Sunny Deol and a 15 year old Tabu. When that film was shelved , Shekhar decided to revive the same script for Bobby Deol. Dharmendra rejected the idea of pairing Nomita with Bobby because he did not like their pairing.
