Exclusive: Banijay Rights’ Mr Bean: The Animated Series Fast channel has expanded in North America. The network will launch on Samsung TV Plus in the U.S. and Canada.

Rolling out on Wednesday (August 27), it will comprise of all four seasons of the Tiger Aspect Kids & Family show, which was originally for ITV in the UK and is based on the classic sitcom starring Rowan Atkinson.

Mr Bean channels are already in the U.S., with Mr Bean Animated and Mr Bean Live Action Fast nets syndicated in 37 territories and on 12 platforms overall.

Tim Allen is back on TV in his new ABC sitcom, Shifting Gears, and in a recent interview he likened working on the series to acting alongside the late Alan Rickman on Galaxy Quest for one reason. While it seems that the sci-fi parody and Allen’s new grounded sitcom are worlds apart – literally – for Allen, there is definitely something that he feels about his newest venture that harkens back to the much-loved 1999 movie – the fun and chaotic working environment that drove Rickman to distraction.

Allen’s new sitcom, which also stars MCU’s Kat Dennings, has not been given the warmest welcome with its first reviews, landing “rotten” 44% and 46% Rotten Tomatoes scores from critics and audiences, respectively. The British legend behind Mr. Bean, Johnny English, and Man vs. Bee is returning for a second show with Netflix, and this time he's fighting a baby (kind of). Rowan Atkinson first partnered with Netflix for Man vs. Bee, a comedy series far funnier than its name would imply. Released in 2022, the show received decent reviews, earning 74% on Rotten Tomatoes, although audiences weren't as kind with 59%. Rowan Atkinson is returning to Netflix to follow up Man Vs Bee with slapstick sequel series Man Vs Baby.

Rowan Atkinson’s prowess at physical comedy and slapstick shenanigans combined with his malleable rubber face have made him famous worldwide as Mr Bean. Has Rowan Atkinson ever let us down? From Mr. Bean to Black Adder to Netflix's 2022 comedy Man vs Bee, the funny man makes us laugh. He knows his trade well, and he plies it for our benefit. But he is also a long way from being done.

This includes the Netflix announcement that filming has begun on a follow-up to Man vs Bee called Man vs Baby. There is no release date set, but it will surely be sometime in 2025.

The format appears to somewhat follow the same as its 2022 predecessor. In Man vs Bee, Atkinson's character, Trevor Bingley, was tasked with house-sitting a wealthy couple's mansion. The issue was that Bingley wasn't alone. There was also a bee in the home and hilarity ensued. Sure, it's not Oscar-winning stuff, but that's not the point. The point is to have a fun watch.

Rowan Atkinson is back for Netflix and this time he’s taking on a human foe in Man vs Baby.

The streamer has rolled cameras on the series, which follows 2022’s Man vs Bee.

In Man vs Bee, the Mr Bean star was Trevor Bingley, a down-on-his-luck man who finds himself entrenched in a battle with an insect while house sitting a rich couple’s modern mansion. Man vs Bee also starred Jing Lusi, Claudie Blakley, Tom Basden, Julian Rhind-Tutt and Greg McHugh.

The new series, which has started production, will see Atkinson return as Bingley alongside “another unlikely companion,” according to Netflix, as he looks after a luxurious London penthouse.

The four-parter is once again created by Atkinson and Will Davies. Davies also EPs with Chris Clark. HouseSitter Productions is producing again and David Kerr is director.

The writer-director of the beloved 2003 holiday rom-com recently told IndieWire that it was a “catastrophe” editing the film starring Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Liam Neeson, Laura Linney, Bill Nighy, Martine McCutcheon, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman and Rowan Atkinson.

“The strange thing about Love Actually is, when we finished the movie, it was a catastrophe,” Curtis said of putting together multiple storylines and character arcs. “It took six months to re-edit it and learn all these lessons about how to do a multi-thread story.”
