Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman miniseries finally gets promising update one year later
Image
Things have definitely been moving very slow for Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman-produced miniseries The Gray House. The show was first announced to be in the works back in 2022, and there really hasn't been a ton of information about the production and its status. Now, we finally have a promising update.

A little over a year ago in April 2024, Variety shared that the historical drama would be opening the Monte-Carlo Television Festival that year, which took place in June. Then a few months after that in September, Deadline revealed that some big names in the music industry have contributed to the soundtrack. We'll get to that in a moment. Though since then, almost a year later, any updates including a release date or even streaming home have not been shared. Until now.

‘American Idol’: Should Luke Bryan Return as a Judge for Season 24? (Poll)
Image
American Idol has already been confirmed for a new season in 2026, but which celebrities will be sitting behind the judges’ table? That’s the burning question, of course, as ABC has not announced who will be on the panel for Season 24. Ever since the show moved from Fox to ABC in 2018, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie have been judges. They’ve both completed eight seasons behind the table. For Seasons 16 to 22, they were joined by Katy Perry. For Season 23, the “Roar” singer was replaced by Carrie Underwood. While many fans love seeing Richie and Bryan as judges, others are ready for a fresh start with some new faces. Some names that have been tossed around include Jon Bon Jovi and Jelly Roll, who have both worked on the show as guest mentors in the past. Bryan has not addressed his future with the show. Ahead of Season 23, he admitted that...

Before Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown Had A Heart-Wrenching Role In This 84%-Rated Medical Drama You Probably Missed
Image
Millie Bobby Brown’s Powerful Grey’s Anatomy Role Before Stranger Things (Photo Credit – Instagram)

Before flipping vans in Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown was stealing hearts in Grey’s Anatomy. In 2015, just a year before the Upside Down, she played Ruby, a scared little girl trying to save her mom over the phone in Season 11, Episode 15.

The title? I Feel the Earth Move. Fitting, because while Seattle shook from a quake, it was Ruby (and Millie) who really moved us. No powers. No nosebleeds. Just raw emotion and a preview of the force she’d soon become.

The setup was pure Grey’s chaos. A massive earthquake hits Seattle. Phone lines are jammed. Ruby’s mom suffers a severe head injury after a fall. Desperate, Ruby calls Grey Sloan Memorial directly, and ends up following CPR instructions from Owen and Amelia over the phone. Then the phone dies. What follows is raw,...

“I Was Diddy’s Publicist. I Didn’t See a Monster — or Chose Not To”
Image
For a few surreal years during the early 2000s, I stood just outside the velvet rope of modern celebrity, close enough to bask in its glow, far enough to avoid its consequences. I was a publicist — not just for Sean “Diddy” Combs but also for Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Keys, Jon Bon Jovi, Kate Spade, Jessica Simpson and Naomi Campbell. My job was to shape images, spin crises and polish imperfections into allure. Fame was the product. I was part of the packaging.

But no client defined that chapter of my life more than Diddy. Back then, he was one of the most visible men on earth — a music mogul, fashion tastemaker and tabloid fixture. I took his calls at 1 a.m., traveled on his private jets and drafted statements that bore his name but never his truth. I thought I was managing a persona. In reality, I was helping protect a system.

Wes Anderson’s ‘The Phoenician Scheme’ Tees Up Strong Indie Weekend With Angelika Film Center Takeover – Specialty Preview
Image
Focus Features has done a full takeover of the Angelika Film Center with The Phoenician Scheme on all six screens for filmmaker Wes Anderson’s latest. There’s a lobby and café redesign for full immersion, a jazz band, custom cocktails, t-shirts and totes as the film, which clocked a lengthy standing ovation at its recent Cannes world premiere (see Deadline review) bows theatrically in limited release at six locations including NYC’s Alamo Brooklyn and AMC Lincoln Square and AMC’s The Grove, Century City and Burbank in LA.

Around this time in 2023, Anderson’s Asteroid City, also from Focus, delivered a massive jolt to the arthouse and specialty world with a $790k three-day weekend, also at six theaters, including a takeover of the Landmark LA. ‘Ron Delsener Presents’ Review: Nostalgia and Moxie Infuse an Affectionate Portrait of a Groundbreaking Music Promoter
Image
For music-loving New Yorkers who grew up in the pre-digital age, the title of Jake Sumner’s first feature-length film needs no explanation. Beginning in the 1960s, countless newspaper ads announcing the rock and pop concerts that were reshaping showbiz began with three words: “Ron Delsener Presents.”

What Sumner presents is an exuberant look at some of those shows and artists, and a chance to spend quality time with Delsener himself, who turns 89 this year. He officially retired in 2022, but, at least as of the 2023 completion date of the documentary, was still spry, in constant motion, and making deals. Like the impresario Sol Hurok, who was his inspiration — and whom he met, as it turned out, just in the nick of time — Delsener sees no reason to stop doing what he loves.

Delsener has done his share of networking and schmoozing, and his business acumen would ultimately have global reverberations.

Stranger Things Finale: Get Ready To Ugly Cry As Cast Teases A Tearjerker Swan Song
Image
At the recent Stranger Things: The First Shadow Broadway premiere, executive producer and director Shawn Levy reflected on just how emotional the final day of filming was for the fifth and final season of the Netflix sci-fi hit.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Levy stated, "It was as emotional as you can imagine and maybe more emotional than you've heard. It was happy- it was a relief, because it's been such a long haul and season 5 was a beast [it] took a year, just to film season 5; there were strikes [and] there were shutdowns."

"But it was also goodbye, but not goodbye to each other, because many of us will stay friends, and stay connected, but goodbye to these stories and goodbye to Hawkins. We all sort of knew on that last day, at that last table read, this was the end of a chapter. We might all go on to great,...

Jon Bon Jovi Dead? Here’s What We Know About the Trending Rumors
Image
Jon Bon Jovi is dead is the latest rumor that’s been ravaging the internet in recent days. So basically he’s the latest celebrity to be targeted by this form of internet lunacy where famous people go to die… virtually, at least.

In the real world, they’re usually fine. But in Bon Jovi’s case, his death news was more than just a stupid little rumor. Here’s what caused it.

Why Do People Think Jon Bon Jovi Is Dead

Jon Bon Jovi is not dead. Let’s say that and just get it out of the way. What we’ve been seeing online is merely the product of mass confusion, and even hysteria if you should dive deeper.

The obituary that sparked these rumors actually belonged to a Greek-American artist who made cover art for Bon Jovi’s albums, Loannis Vasilopoulos.

Following his death on April 7, the...

Brushy Bill Roberts
Billy the Kid meets Pancho Villa in Young Guns 3: Dead or Alive
Brushy Bill Roberts
Back in 1949 / ’50, a man called Brushy Bill Roberts claimed to be the legendary Wild West outlaw known as Billy the Kid, having reached the age of 90. There was a lot of evidence to back up his claim and he had the support of people who were known to have associated with Billy the Kid, but the authorities discredited him. One person who believes that Brushy Bill Roberts was Billy the Kid is Emilio Estevez, who played Billy the Kid in the 1988 Western Young Guns and its 1990 sequel Young Guns II (where he also put on old age makeup to play a couple scenes as Brushy Bill). That’s how Estevez is able to move forward with Young Guns 3: Dead or Alive, a project he has been developing with John Fusco, the writer of the Young Guns films, since 2019. Last month, it was confirmed that Young Guns 3 has secured a...

NJ Mayor Seeks to Close Jon Bon Jovi’s Restaurant That Helps the Homeless
Image
Jon Bon Jovi’s efforts to fight hunger and homelessness have earned him praise for years — but not everyone is impressed. In Toms River, New Jersey, a new pop-up location of his nonprofit restaurant, Jbj Soul Kitchen, is at the center of growing controversy.

The Soul Kitchen’s Mission and Success

The rock icon and his wife, Dorothea, co-founded the Jbj Soul Foundation in 2006, with a mission to tackle systemic issues like food insecurity and homelessness. Their solution wasn’t just charitable donations — it was innovative action.

In 2011, they opened their first Jbj Soul Kitchen, a nonprofit community restaurant designed to welcome guests from all walks of life.

The model is simple yet impactful: customers can pay for their meals at a suggested rate (currently $12), and those who can’t afford it are encouraged to volunteer their time in exchange for a hot meal. Patrons are also invited to “pay...

Jon Bon Jovi’s Jbj Soul Kitchen Faces Criticism From New Jersey Mayor

A pop-up outpost of Jon Bon Jovi’s Jbj Soul Kitchen at a public library has created an uproar in Toms River, New Jersey, in the past week. John Carpenter's 27-Year-Old Vampire Movie Resurrected On Netflix
Image
John Carpenter's underrated horror film, Vampires, has been resurrected on Netflix. The film was originally adapted from the novel Vampire$ by John Steakley.

John Carpenter's Vampires sees James Woods starring as Jack Crow, the leader of a group of vampire hunters. He leads the team as their "master slayer", working to prevent a centuries-old cross from falling into the hands of Jan Valek (Thomas Ian Griffith), the progenitor of all vampires. The film's supporting cast includes Daniel Baldwin, Sheryl Lee, Tim Guinee and Maximillian Schell.

Carpenter took a unique approach to the film's casting, actively avoiding "another musclebound meathead" for the lead role, which led to Woods' casting.Clint Eastwood, Kurt Russell, Bill Paxton, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, and R. Lee Ermey were all reportedly considered for the role, but either declined or had scheduling conflicts. Sheryl Lee, who plays a prostitute with a psychic link to Valek, was...

10 Best Oscars Performances Through the Years
Image
The Oscars event is marked by some incredible performances from artists, especially those who are nominated in the Best Original Song category. The 97th edition of the Academy Awards has decided to let go of the usual Oscars performances of the best original song nominees this year.

The decision was made as a response to the Los Angeles wildfires. Fans are not exactly upset about the decision since the Best Original Song category lacked any numbers that the audiences look forward to seeing on the stage. Fans would especially find it in bad taste to see one of the two nominated songs from Emilia Pérez on stage after the controversy associated with the film.

According to the Academy, the event will instead celebrate the songwriters through personal reflections and behind-the-scenes insights from the musicians. However, this hasn’t...

Millie Bobby Brown has made it clear that her man is not just her boyfriend anymore. Unfortunately, a photographer was recently at the receiving end when they misidentified the 21-year-old actor’s husband, Jake Bongiovi, at the Los Angeles premiere of her latest Netflix film, The Electric State.

Lauren Boebert and Kid Rock Spotted Getting Into a Cab at 2:30 In the Morning: Report
Image
Reading Time: 3 minutes

Is it a match made in Maga heaven, or just two adults sharing some late night transportation? You be the judge!

According to a new report from Page Six, Kid Rock and Rep. Lauren Boebert were recently spotted getting into a cab together at 2:30 in the morning.

The two reportedly shuffled off together after spending the evening attending the various balls and parties that were thrown to celebrate the inauguration of Donald Trump.

Boebert and Rock have a lot in common, of course:

As the Page Six piece points out, “Both are among Trump’s most die-hard supporters, and they’re both enthusiastic gun-toters (even by rural Republican standards).”

That doesn’t mean, however, that they “kept the party going” after leaving the inaugural celebrations.

Kid Rock Storms Off Stage After Audience Doesn’t Clap
Image
Kid Rock cut short a performance in Nashville when the audience didn’t clap enough, leading to a petulant outburst from the “American Bad Ass.”

The most awkward part is that it wasn’t even Kid Rock’s own show: He was appearing as a special guest at the birthday bash for Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan, which was being held Saturday (February 8th) at Jon Bon Jovi’s bar in downtown Nashville.

Rock’s appearance came during a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Proud Mary.” As seen in audience footage, Rock, who sounds like he may have enjoyed a few adult beverages, momentarily stopped the performance due to the lack of participation from the crowd. He didn’t like the fact that they weren’t clapping along.

“F**k them. F**k them. Hey, hey, stop,” he said as he lightly shoved aside...

Jared Padalecki Headlined 2 Wildly Underrated Horror Films the Same Year Supernatural Premiered
Image
2005 was a huge year for Jared Padalecki. That fall, he would begin his 15-year stint on the smash-hit series Supernatural, but Sam Winchester would not be his only horror role of the year. The Scream-like thriller Cry Wolf, and the FX extravaganza House of Wax may have been snubbed by the critics, but they are hidden gems that show off a different side of the monster-hunting heartthrob.

Horror usually faces an uphill battle with mainstream critics who expect it to produce only crass exploitation. However, rotten reviews sometimes belie provocative stories and visual thrills rarely found in other genres. Case in point: Cry Wolf, with its wild production history, and House of Wax, a frightening feast for the eyes — both of which benefit from amusingly out-of-character performances from Jared Padalecki.
