Sharon Farrell, who starred as the mother of a murderous infant in It’s Alive and contributed strong supporting turns opposite James Garner and Steve McQueen, respectively, in the 1969 films Marlowe and The Reivers, has died. She was 82.

Farrell died unexpectedly May 15 of natural causes at a hospital in Orange County, her son, Chance Boyer, told The Hollywood Reporter.

Farrell also played a movie hairstylist in Richard Rush‘s The Stunt Man (1980), the ex-wife of Chuck Norris’ Texas Ranger in Lone Wolf McQuade (1983) and the mother of the cheerleader portrayed by Amanda Peterson in Can’t Buy Me Love (1987).

The project was formerly known as “The Whip.” Nina Tassler, the former CBS Entertainment chief, will also executive produce along with Denise Di Novi for the pair’s PatMa Productions.

Hasbro's Monopoly for Millennials is the company's latest twist on the iconic game. However, some young consumers are pretty bummed out about it. The front of the box features a brand-new Rich Uncle Pennybags, who has traded in his monocle for some bright blue sunglasses. He's also taking a selfie while listening to tunes with his earbuds in and holding on to a coffee cup. The tagline at the bottom of the box simply states, "Forget Real Estate. You Can't Afford it Anyway." However, that's just the start in this humorous take on the old game.

Instead of buying real estate, Monopoly for Millennials allows players to win by racking up life experiences. Rescuing animals or going on yoga retreats is a few ways to earn some pretty big points in the game. The game takes just about every millennial stereotype and packs it all into one long box.

Guess you can’t buy Netflix’s love. Along with “Can’t Buy Me Love,” the ’80s film that launched a young Patrick Dempsey into stardom as hapless high schooler Ronald Miller vying for the love of dream girl Cindy Mancini (Amanda Peterson), titles like “St. Vincent,” “Finding Dory,” and “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story” are leaving the streamer this August.

Kristen Wiig’s “Welcome to Me” will also bid farewell on August 6, while later in the month, “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” and “Pariah” are moving elsewhere on August 16.

Aug. 14 marks the 30th anniversary of Can't Buy Me Love, the '80s rom-com starring Patrick Dempsey and the late Amanda Peterson, who died in 2015.

The cast members have gone their separate ways in the years since Dempsey's character paid Peterson's head cheerleader to be his girlfriend, becoming more than a dork who drives a lawn mower.

In a new interview, the family of Can't Buy Me Love star Amanda Peterson, who died in July of an accidental drug overdose at age 43, says the actress was raped at 15 – and feels the incident had an indelible impact on the star.

"She just felt so ashamed. She didn't want people to know," her mother, Sylvia Peterson, said on The Doctors during an episode that aired Monday, later adding, "I think it affected her forever."

Amanda's father, Dr. James Peterson, said he noticed a marked difference in her personality after the alleged rape.

Amanda Peterson, the star of '80s classic "Can't Buy Me Love" who passed away suddenly this summer at the age of 43, died of an accidental drug overdose, according to newly-released autopsy and toxicology reports filed by local authorities.

Peterson's cause of death was revealed this week by the Weld County Coroner in Colorado, which according to Variety stated that the actress's overdose was the result of "a deadly combination of multiple drugs, including morphine," which caused a "morphine effect" that led to respiratory failure and ultimately her death.

The report also said that Peterson "had a variety of prescription drugs in her system, including anti-anxiety medication, anti-psychotic medication, opiates and marijuana," Variety said. "One of the pain meds in her body was at six times the appropriate level."

Actor Amanda Peterson, briefly a star name in Hollywood following her turn as an Arizona cheerleader in the 1980s romantic comedy Can’t Buy Me Love, has died at the age of 43.

The twice-married mother of two was found alone at her home, an apartment complex in Greeley, Colorado, on 5 July. Police do not suspect foul play and the actor’s father told TMZ Peterson suffered from sleep apnea, with pneumonia and sinusitis also cited among her recent health issues. Can't Buy Me Love star Amanda Peterson has died at the age of 43.

The actress's family has confirmed that she passed away from unknown causes in Colorado earlier this week, reports TMZ.

Her father told the website: "She had some illness and a sleep apnea problem that may have contributed [to her death]."

Peterson rose to fame starring opposite Patrick Dempsey in the classic 1980s teen comedy Can't Buy Me Love.

The actress also starred in the Emmy Award-winning miniseries A Year in the Life, and also briefly appeared in Doogie Howser, MD.

Peterson left Hollywood in 1994 to return to her home state of Colorado.
