Robert Duncan McNeill most recently served as the Executive Producer/Director on all 4 seasons of the hit Sci-Fi/comedy, Resident Alien, starring Alan Tudyk. He was nominated in 2024 for the Astra Award for "Best Director in a Broadcast or Cable Comedy Series" for the season 3 finale episode Homecoming, which he also co-wrote. Additionally, he recently served as the Executive Producer and Director for the Twentieth TV/Disney+ action/comedy series Turner & Hooch, starring Josh Peck. Robert has excelled in multiple genres, using his depth of experience to bring outrageous comedy, edge-of-your-seat action and unforgettable moments to life through the stories he has been part of crafting for over two decades.

He spent 5 seasons as the Producer/Director for the popular and beloved Warner Bros/NBC action-comedy series Chuck, known for its unique blend of genres, combining elements of spy action, comedy, and romance. He has directed on shows ranging from sci-fi, action, drama and half-hour comedies. He served as Executive Producer/Director for Marvel's X-Men series The Gifted on FOX. In addition, he served as Executive Producer/Director on the suspense series The Arrangement for UCP/E! and the outrageous and consistently lovable Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce for Bravo/UCP. He has also served as the Producer/Director for the suspense drama 666 Park Avenue for ABC and the ensemble drama, What About Brian? for ABC.

He's has been recognized as a top TV Pilot Director, having directed the Pilot episode of the iconic hit comedy, Samantha Who?, starring Christina Applegate, Melissa McCarthy and Jean Smart for ABC. He also directed and produced the Pilot episode of quirky medical procedural, Heartbeat for Universal/NBC that went to series.

Robert spent the first 20 years of his career as an actor in numerous TV shows, films and on Broadway. He trained at Juilliard School as a member of Group 17. He is still recognized as an actor for the series regular role of Tom Paris in seven seasons and 172 episodes on Star Trek: Voyager, starring Kate Mulgrew. It was on Star Trek where Robert first began directing and he directed many episodes of numerous Star Trek series. In total, as an actor and director, Robert has worked on 4 different series in the Star Trek franchise.
