    • Sneha is an Indian actress who primarily works in the Tamil, Malayalam, and Telegu film industries. Born into a Telegu family, her father is a businessman, and her mother is a housewife. Her birth name is Suhasini Rajaram Naidu, but she rose to fame as Sneha.

      After her birth, the family shifted to Sharjah, UAE, and the actress did her schooling there.

      Fazil Nazeem recommended her to director Anil for his film Ingine Oru Nilapakshi (2000). Sneha's role was of an aspiring dancer who performed seven classical songs

      She then went on to act in films in the Tamil, Telegu, and Malayalam film industries and has been a part of hits like Ennavale (2001), in which she starred opposite Madhavan. She was then cast in another Tamil movie, Aanandham (2001), in which she got the role of Viji.

      In 2002, she bagged the role of Radha in her Tamil movie, Unnai Ninaithu (2002), for which she got her first Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress - Tamil.

      In the same year, she appeared as Thavamani in Virumbugirean (2002), which was cited as one of her best roles. This movie also got her the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress.

      She was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Tamil for her movie April Maadhathil (2002).

      In 2003, Sneha played a dual role in the movie Parthiban Kanavu (2003) and appeared as Sathya and Janani in the Tamil movie. For this movie, she was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Tamil.

      She appeared in several commercially hit movies in 2004, like Vasoolraja M.B.B.S (2004) and Autograph (2004).

      After appearing in 6 Tamil and Telugu movies in 2005, she gave stellar performances in another set of 6 movies in 2006, out of which she was again nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Tamil for Pudhu Pettai (2006).

      One of her biggest hits and best performances came in 2008 with Pirivom Santhippom (2008), where she played the role of Visalakshi Natesan and earned a Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress. She was also the recipient of the Vijay Award for Best Actress.

      For the same role, she was nominated for the Vijay Award for Favourite Heroine and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Tamil.

      After doing several other movies, she appeared as Malini Kumar in the blockbuster hit Achchamundu! Achchamundu! (2009), also starring Prasanna and Hollywood actor John Shea. She was also nominated for Filmfare Award under the category of Best Actress - Tamil for this role.

      Her other performances include Amavarathi (2009), Goa (2010), and Vandae Maatharam (2010).

      In 2010, she was appreciated for her tough role of playing ACP Bhavan in the Tamil movie Bhavani IPS (2010).

      Her other commendable performances include roles in the movie Haridas (2013), for which she was nominated for the Vijay Award and Filmfare Award under the category of Best Actress.

      She was also nominated for SIIMA Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in S/O Satyamurthy (2015) and Velaikkaran (2017).

      Sneha has also been featured in a number of popular endorsements like Roobini Oil, Jos Alukkas, Aashirvaad, Shree Devi Textiles, Kellogg's Chocos, Vencobb Chicken, Nisha Fairness Cream, and Tata Salt, among others. She was also made the brand ambassador for Cavin Kare's Chinni Pickle and Dabur Amla Nelli Hair Oil in 2010.

      Apart from movies and endorsements, Sneha has also participated in prestigious fashion shows. Chennai International Fashion Week and Sydney Sladen Fashion Week are some fashion shows where Sneha has walked the ramp.

      She has also been a judge in reality shows like Jodi Number One (2006) and Dance jodi dance 2.0 (2017). Other than these two reality shows, Sneha was also seen hosting seasons 1 and 2 of Melam Kottu Thali Kattu in 2014, which was aired on Puthuyugam TV.

      Sneha was conferred with the prestigious Nandi Special Jury Prize for her incredible performance in Radha Gopalam (2005).
