Lateef Binny assisted Rajkumar Santoshi for 8 years. He was associated
with him for the films like Ghayal, Damini, Andaz Apna Apna, Ghatak,
Barsaat and Pukar etc. Apart from direction he was involved in
screenplay writing, production designing and casting. He has worked
with N.Chandra and Mansoor Khan for a brief period. He has been
actively involved in theatre as an actor and director. He directed his
first film called Dahek that was nominated for National awards, he
directed his 2nd film Aakrosh. His 3rd film Hum Panchi Ek Daal Ke with
Aishwarya Rai is complete but not released as yet. He dabbled with
Television for some time and directed award wining serial Haqeeqat. He
has been producing serials for television under his own banner
Libravision. He has been working on a trilogy on Kashmir for the last
few years. Apart from films and television, he is an ad film maker.
