Shielu Bharwani

Shielu began her acting career soon after graduating from high school. She was accepted at the premiere theater in the Philippines, Repertory Theater in Manila. She started out in the chorus but her passion and talent quickly led to her playing major leading roles such as Stella in 'A Streetcar Named Desire', Antigone in Sophocles' play, and Kate the shrew in Taming of the Shrew. She soon achieved fame in Filipino film and television productions.
She took a break from acting upon arriving in the United States, to start a family and collaborate with her new husband, Oscar-winning Make Up artist Barney Burman. She became a Cordon Bleu chef working for restaurants including Wolfgang Puck, then went on to become an expert yoga and Pilates instructor at Equinox clubs throughout Los Angeles.
Her passion for performance has driven her to once again embrace her acting talent and seek out enticing new roles.
