Where to Watch ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’? (Streaming & VOD)
Image
The blockbuster hit that surprised everyone was the fourth entry into the buddy cop action comedy franchise Bad Boys. Directed by the duo of Adil & Bilall from a screenplay co-written by Chris Bremner and Will Beal, Bad Boys: Ride or Die has everything you need for an entertaining time at the theaters including some great action sequences, great characters, hilarious comedy, and mindless fun.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die once again follows our bad boys Detective Mike Lowery and Detective Lt. Marcus Burnett as they go on a rogue mission to clear their late captain’s name, who was implicated in having a connection with drug cartels. Joining them in the deadly mission is Armando Aretas, who was introduced in the last film as Mike’s son.

Rhea Seehorn's Bad Boys 4 Character Is So Much More Important Than I Expected
Image
Rhea Seehorn's role in Bad Boys: Ride or Die is surprisingly important, adding depth to the series. The third movie deepened the bond between Mike and Marcus, exploring themes of aging and legacy. Captain Howard's death plays a key role in the plot, leading to a complex dynamic between the characters.

Warning: Major spoilers for Bad Boys: Ride or Die below!I was pleasantly surprised at how important Rhea Seehorn's character was in Bad Boys: Ride or Die. Summer 2024 hasn't been kind to many of the big tentpole movies, as the surprise bombing of Furious or The Fall Guy has shown. Thankfully, Bad Boys: Ride or Die's great Rotten Tomatoes rating and box-office numbers came along to prove audiences will still turn out for an old-fashioned popcorn movie. This shouldn't have been a surprise considering the Bad Boys movies have always been solid earners, but it shows how...

Rhea Seehorn says Bad Boys: Ride or Die directors are Better Call Saul fanboys
Image
Bad Boys: Ride or Die is living up to the premise, “Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?” The “they” in this scenario are the U.S. Marshals, led by Judy Howard, who is played by Rhea Seehorn. The fourth film in the action-comedy series is currently enjoying a round of success as it becomes one of the bigger hits of the summer in a year where most large releases are failing to live up to expectations. While the Bad Boys series is usually a show for the duo of Martin Lawrence and Will Smith, this new installment splits the focus on some of the supporting characters — one being Captain Howard’s daughter.

Seehorn is not only riding high by being in one of the summer’s hits, but she also re-teams with Better Call Saul‘s Vince Gilligan for a new untitled AppleTV+ show. The Hollywood Reporter caught...

Rhea Seehorn Talks ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ Success and the “Wild Ride” of Vince Gilligan’s New Show
Image
Kim Wexler continues to pay dividends for Rhea Seehorn. When Bad Boys: Ride or Die directors Adil and Bilall endured an “emotional rollercoaster” in 2022, they found an escape through their binge-watch of Seehorn’s acclaimed series, Better Call Saul. The two Belgian directors became so taken with her performance as Jimmy McGill’s (Bob Odenkirk) romantic partner in crime that they told themselves that they’d find a role for her to play someday. Well, someday came soon, as they then had a general meeting with her regarding Bad Boys: Ride or Die and the role of U.S. Marshal Judy Howard, the daughter of Joe Pantoliano’s beloved Bad Boys character, Captain Conrad Howard.

“Believe me, there was a part of me that was like, ‘Do they know me from anything?’ But I pretty much assume that of anybody; it wasn’t really specific to them. So I think...

‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ Directors Adil and Bilall Talk Jerry Bruckheimer’s Unwavering Support and Being ‘Better Call Saul’ Fanboys
Image
In January 2020, Adil and Bilall began to ride high. The Belgian directing duo’s American debut, Bad Boys for Life, set a franchise record with $424 million, becoming the highest grossing domestic film of the pandemic-stricken year. That fall, they joined the MCU’s Ms. Marvel and helmed the first two episodes of Kamala Khan’s coming-of-age superhero series. Led by Iman Vellani, the Disney+ show would eventually garner critical acclaim, especially Adil and Bilall’s outings, which added some much-welcomed visual flourishes to Earth-616. Then, in the spring of 2021, the filmmakers extended their hot streak when they signed on to direct the Dceu’s Batgirl for HBO Max. And to top it all off, in May of 2022, their Belgian film, Rebel, premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival to strong reviews.

From there, the exuberant storytellers were thrown a curveball that no one could’ve anticipated. In August 2022, their unfinished...

'The Greatest Hits': Bad Boys 4 Writer Teases Fan-Favorite Cameos in Ride or Die
Image
A fan-favorite character has been confirmed for Bad Boys: Ride or Die. Chris Bremner, who wrote Ride or Die, recently revealed that John Salley will be one of the many original franchise stars to appear in the fourth movie, reprising his role as Fletcher.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Bremner explained why they opted to bring back former Bad Boys cast members instead of creating new characters for Ride or Die. "We always liked doing cameos. When the idea came out that it was an old case and Captain Howard was putting it together, it was suddenly like, 'Well, of course, you're going to go back to all these people, because why not?' Why invent new characters? Its too many people for audiences to care about. Lets go back to the greatest hits. There were a couple we couldn't get or didn't get, which I wish we could have had.

Wyatt Earp
Akiva Goldsman and Ron Howard Developing Doc Holliday Western for HBO
Wyatt Earp
[1] It feels like just about every network on TV has a Western project in the works by this point, but one of the most recently announced ones also sounds like it could be one of the most promising. Ron Howard and Akiva Goldsman are slated to team up for a Western drama about Doc Holliday, the legendary gambler and gunslinger known for his friendship with Wyatt Earp and his involvement in the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. The project is an adaptation of Mary Doria Russell's acclaimed novel Doc, which was released earlier this year. More details after the jump. Adam Cooper and Bill Collage (Accepted) will write the script, as well as executive produce with Goldsman and his producing partner Kerry Foster (who happens to be married to Cooper). Howard is lined up to direct the pilot, with father Rance Howard and Rance's wife nm0974145 autoJudy Howard[/link] co-producing.

Akiva Goldsman Inks Overall Deal With HBO, Sets Up Western Drama About Doc Holliday With Ron Howard Attached To Direct
Exclusive: Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman has signed a two-year exclusive overall deal with HBO. The first project under the pact is an untitled Western drama about Doc Holliday, the famed gambler and gunslinger of the Old West. Feature scribes Adam Cooper and Bill Collage (Accepted) will write the script and will executive produce with Goldsman and his producing partner Kerry Foster. Ron Howard is attached to direct the potential pilot. His father, Rance Howard, will serve as co-producer along with his wife Judy Howard. The project is inspired by Mary Doria Russell’s critically praised novel Doc, which was published in May.
