New Delhi, April 29: Rajeev Khandelwal was spotted promoting his upcoming movie 'Samrat & Co.' in Mumbai.

Speaking about the film's promotion strategy, Khandelwal said, "This is a film which would depend on word of mouth because this is not a big banner film".

Khandelwal added, "This is a very different kind of entertainer and you cannot afford to miss it".

New Delhi, April 17: Actor Rajeev Khandelwal, who loves eating, managed to lose some weight while filming his forthcoming movie "Samrat & Co.".

Rajeev reportedly ate meals five times a day and still lost six kg for Kaushik Ghatak's directorial due to the scenes he had to perform - proving that eating small but more meals in a day along with a bit of physical activity is good to keep one fit.

"When you talk about Rajeev, the first thing that can come to your mind is food, he eats everything possible! Since we were shooting for the film in the hilly locations of Himachal Pradesh, there was a lot of running.

Mumbai, March 19: Rajeev Khandelwal, who made an unconventional film debut with "Aamir", will be seen in Rajshri Productions' "Samrat & Co.", a detective thriller, and he is confident that there is an audience for the kind of films he does.

"I am prepared for every film I do. I know my films have made money. 'Aamir', 'Shaitaan' and 'Table No.21', all have made money. I know there is an audience and if you have liked the trailer (of 'Samrat & Co.'), then I guarantee you the film is better," the 38-year-old said here Tuesday at the first look launch of the film.

"Samrat & Co." is produced by Sooraj Barjatya's cousin Kavita and directed by Kaushik Ghatak.

Rajeev hopes the film does good business and is also.

Kavita Barjatya is coming up with a different movie from Rajshri Productions, which is known for their family dramas. She will be producing a suspense- adventure film titled Samrat And Co. Rajeev Khandelwal has been roped in to play the main lead Samrat in the exciting project.

Specially targeting India's young audiences, Samrat And Co is the first of its kind detective franchisee, wherein the very nuances of crime solving, human nature and the world of standalone private investigators will be presented on the big screen on a pure entertainment platform.

Rajeev Khandelwal will essay 'Samrat' who will initiate audiences into the world of private investigators who utilize their raw intelligence and limited resources to solve their cases! Mumbai, May 6: After making TV shows, Kavita Barjatya has decided to enter films and produce detective movie "Samrat And Co". She says it would be a challenge to cater to the typical Rajshri's family audiences.

To be directed by Kaushik Ghatak, "Samrat and Co" will be produced by Kavita under her banner Rajshri Productions, known for making family dramas like "Hum Aapke Hain Koun...!" and "Vivah".

"Today is a wonderful time for cinema... People are ready to accept different stories, different genres, different characters and a different treatment," Kavita said in a statement.

If you thought that Samrat And Co was a name of any random company, think again as its the name of Kavita Barjatya's debut film as a producer. For starters, Kavita is the sister of Sooraj Barjatya, the name that's behind the prestigious Rajshri Productions, under whose banner took birth many of Bollywood blockbusters like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Hum Saath Saath Hain etc.

Samrat And Co is basically a detective film that will be directed by Kaushik Ghatak, who said that with this film, he wanted to build a detective character in Bollywood, who would appeal the regular move watchers.
