Born 1960 in Hamburg, Germany. 1988 Diploma in Film Studies in the field of visual communication at the Academy for Fine Arts in Hamburg, Germany. 1980-86 Member of a feminist media collective in Hamburg, Germany. Since 1986 teaching assignments in film classes, work in international commissions and juries. Since 1989 independent Producer, Filmmaker, Director and Writer. Since 2001 Member of EAVE European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs. She is involved in numerous International cinema co-productions and produced more than 30 Films (many of them receiving international awards) for the international Cinema. Additionally Ulrike Zimmermann produces Video Tutorials for Sexological Bodywork and is also active in sales. Since the overwhelming success of her Film "Vulva 3.0" she has been focusing on her work as independent filmmaker, writer and distributor.
