Broke into the industry when she sang 'The Star Spangled Banner' to a sold out crowd of 80,000, and live on television at the Orange Bowl.

Began her own production company, 'On Location Productions', and hosted one of its creations, "Eye on Fort Lauderdale", on an evening television show in Florida.

Her manager, Frank Anderson, is her ex-husband.

Comes from a family of seven children.

Is the second person in her family to be "Miss Ohio" and compete in the "Miss America" pageant, older sister Juliana Zilba was the first.

Both Mary and sister Juliana won the talent portions of the "Miss America" pageants they each competed in.
