- Betsy started her career at age 21 as a reporter/anchor for a CBS affiliate in Tuscaloosa Alabama. Working 7 days a week for two years, she earned several awards including an Associated Press, Best Feature Story, and a Women in Journalism Award. Having never formally studied journalism, she calls this her first acting job.
