Yusuf/Cat Stevens has announced his long-awaited memoir, Cat on the Road to Findout, out this fall.

The memoir, which arrives in the U.K. on Sept. 18 and North America on Oct. 7, chronicles Stevens’ life and career. It begins with his upbringing in the West End of London, where he was born Steven Demetre Georgiou in 1948, and his start as a musician in the Sixties.

A little extra cash helped Matt Murdock be a little extra acrobatic in Daredevil: Born Again.

After an X video compilation of Daredevil's Disney+ appearances felt "more agile" compared to the original Daredevil, showrunner Steven DeKnight chalked that up to the limitations of the Netflix show's budget. "It’s purely a financial issue. On the Netflix show, we didn't have the money to do this. If we had, we would have," he wrote. In another post, DeKnight established that "in no way, shape, or form were my comments regarding Daredevil a knock against Netflix. It was merely explaining that I would have used CGI to enhance the fights like in Born Again if the budget had been larger."

It’s purely a financial issue. On the Netflix show, we didn’t have the money to do this.

Some seven years after Netflix’s acclaimed Daredevil series was unceremoniously axed, the Man Without Fear is back and making himself at home in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. On St. Patrick's Day, Matt Murdock goes to the bank for a loan, meeting Kamala Khan's father. Yusuf is the assistant manager at the bank, who denied Matt's request. He leaves, but later returns to the bank when he hears a group of robbers taking the customers and employees hostage.

Even though he has't worn the familiar red suit since the first episode, audiences see Matt Murdock become Daredevil to stop the criminals and save the hostages. While the self-contained nature of the story is unique, what makes Episode 5, "With Interest," great seems incongruous with good storytelling.

MCU fans' biggest fear ahead of Daredevil: Born Again was that the series wouldn't be as dark as its Netflix predecessor. Daredevil: Born Again just gave Matt Murdock his latest and most unexpected Marvel crossover, but in a way that still fits the show's tone.

Speaking with Phase Hero host Brandon Davis, episode director Jeff Nachmanoff revealed what it was like pairing Murdock with Ms. Marvel patriarch Yusuf Khan in a bottle episode that forces them to thwart a bank robbery on St. Patrick's Day. According to Nachmanoff, credit goes to executive producer Sana Amanat, who co-created Kamala Khan and produced the Disney+ adaptation featuring Mohan Kapur as Kamala's father, adding that Amanat "helped me understand what Yusuf's background was and the tone of that other show was much lighter and much more comedic."

Amanat added, "So it was... how do we make that work?Daredevil is about as dark as you go in Marvel and I'd say Ms.

Depending who you ask, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) is always in the right place at the right time, or the wrong place at the wrong time. “Daredevil: Born Again” sends our allegedly retired hero into the thick of a bank robbery — one that he had just narrowly escaped before diving back into the fray.

Because as much as he wants to protect himself, his loved ones, and the city he calls home, those aren’t the real reasons why he can never fully give up Daredevil; the fact is, he can’t stay away.

Episode 5, “With Interest,” directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff and written by Grainne Godfree, is bookended by scenes of Matt and Yusuf Khan (Mohan Kapur), a nice little crossover with Daredevil’s neighbor across the river, “Ms. Marvel.” Matt is looking for a loan for his firm, and while Yusuf can’t approve it, he can’t help but like the guy.

Daredevil: Born Again's fifth episode, "With Interest," was directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff and has proven to be surprisingly divisive since hitting Disney+ yesterday evening. 

The filmmaker also helmed last week's "Sic Semper Systema," but this bottle episode - a largely standalone instalment of a series typically filmed in a single location, often with a minimal cast - seems to either be drawing rave reviews or harsh criticisms. 

Talking to Phase Hero, Nachmanoff reflected on shooting Matt Murdock's team-up with Ms. Marvel's father, Yusuf Khan, and confirmed that "With Interest" is the only episode of Daredevil: Born Again not to have been tinkered with during the creative overhaul. 

"This episode is the only completely untouched episode, I believe, from the original version of the show before we went back and reworked it," he explained. "You can feel that. It has that bottle episode feel because it's just Matt for the most part.

“Daredevil: Born Again” marks the official entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe for most of the characters in the show — save for Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, who first appeared via “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and then again in “She-Hulk,” and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, who appeared in “Hawkeye” and “Echo.”

The original Netflix series was technically set within the larger MCU, but rarely even indulged in references and kept mainly to its own corner of street-level heroes. Neil Young has joined the lineup for the annual BST Hyde Park summer concert series in London. Young, along with his band Chrome Hearts, will headline the outdoor stage on July 11.

Young will be supported by Yusuf/Cat Stevens and Van Morrison, with more musicians to be announced. Young last performed at BST Hyde Park in 2019 as a co-headliner with Bob Dylan. He also played the concert series in 2014 with Crazy Heart.

Jumai Yusuf’s feature debut Cocoa Doll is being launched to international buyers at the Toronto Film Festival this week.

Co-producers and sales agents The Dazey Phase and Unger Media are shopping the horror pic about, Nora, a young Black woman who takes a caregiving job for the McNeils, a rich white family, only to discover they’re hiding a deadly secret.

Cocoa Doll was earlier selected for the Black List’s Muslim List. Yusuf wrote and and is set to direct the indie, which was inspired by caricatures of Black people from the Jim Crow era not lost to history.

“When I set out to write a horror film, I knew I had to tap into the things that truly haunt me. Cocoa Doll is my way of reminding people that Jim Crow isn’t some distant past. It’s a horrifyingly recent chapter of American history,” Yusuf said in a statement.
