    • Philip Wylie was born on May 12, 1902 in Beverly, Massachusetts, USA. He was a writer, known for When Worlds Collide, Les règles du jeu (1968) and Le choc des mondes (1951). He was married to Frederica Ballard and Johanna (Sally) Ondeck. He died on October 25, 1971 in Miami, Florida, USA.

  • A copy of his novel "Gladiator" can be seen in a panel of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' seminal graphic novel "Watchmen" in Hollis Mason's home.
