Britain's Queen Elizabeth has been beaten into second place in a poll of famous hat wearers. The 83-year-old royal was beaten by French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy in the annual Celebrity Hat Wearers survey, which was won by the monarch's granddaughter Zara Phillips last year. The British royal family was well represented in the vote, with Prince Edward's wife Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, winning third place. Philip Wright, of Luton milliners Walter Wright, said: "The Countess of Wessex opts for more feminine styles, including a particularly eye catching one with feather trim."
