Primarily a theatre performer and creator, Andrew trained as an actor, director, and playwright at Toronto's York University. Since 2003, he has been based in Japan where he runs an experimental theatre company, podcasts, and teaches drama at a university. He has worked professionally there as a stage actor and voice actor, as well as a casting assistant, but most of his time is spent on his own projects.
