Marjorie Woodworth(1919-2000)

  • Actress
IMDbProStarmeterSee rank
Tom Brown, Zasu Pitts, Slim Summerville, and Marjorie Woodworth in Niagara Falls (1941)
Marjorie Woodworth was a pretty, perky blonde 1940s starlet, of German/Norwegian parentage. She was educated at the University of Southern California, where she was spotted and signed by a talent scout for Hal Roach. Immediately propelled into leading roles, her shortcomings as an actress (in the absence of proper training) were quickly revealed, although she acquitted herself well in the farce Le rapt du rapide 5 (1941). She remained with Roach until 1943, but strictly in supporting roles. She retired in 1947.
