    • Charlotte Witthauer was born on July 18, 1908 in Breslau, Silesia, Germany [now Wroclaw, Dolnoslaskie, Poland]. She was an actress, known for Heintje donne l'alerte (1971), Une conduite peu satisfaisante (1972) and Sessel am Kamin (1963). She was married to Hans Quest. She died on May 6, 1980 in Tutzing, Bavaria, Germany.

  • Mother of actor Christoph Quest (b. 1940) and Thomas Quest (b. 1945), grandmother of Philipp Quest and Nora Quest.
  • After engagements at different German theaters she became a member of the ensemble of the Staatstheater Berlin in 1936 where she remained till 1944.
  • She continued her acting career at the theater and in film and TV after the war.
  • She already came in contact with the film business at the age of 16 when she appeared in the production "Mädchen in Uniform" (1931). But her real film career started at the end of the 30's.
  • Besides her activity as an actress she also was busy as a speaker for the radio as well as a dubbing speaker.
