    • Julian Wintle was born on October 17, 1913 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, UK. He was a producer and editor, known for Chapeau melon et bottes de cuir (1961), Wings Over Africa (1936) and The Large Rope (1953). He died on November 8, 1980 in Brighton, East Sussex, England, UK.

Trivia

  • British film and TV producer, a former assistant editor for David Lean. Co-founded Independent Artists in 1958, subsequently worked for Bryanston (1959-1963). In the 60's, became best known as the producer of "The Avengers".
  • In 1971 It was announce that Michael Caine was to star in 'Split Up'for Julian Wintle who was making it for his own company, Independent Artists with a screenplay by Roger smith and direction by David Greene.
