Biography

    • Anica Celeste Osmond was born on July 8, 1980 in Utah. She is of mixed European and Central American ancestry. At the time of her birth, her family were members of the Mormon church and she was raised in a tight-knit Latter Day Saint community. Her paternal grandparents were musical performers and opera singers. Anica is a second cousin of Donny and Marie Osmond and a relative of The Osmond Brothers.

Her exposure to the performing arts began at an early age. The family moved to the entertainment town of Branson, Missouri where her father worked as a sound engineer and musician. As a child, she attended The Branson Performing Arts Academy and studied drama, ballet, musical theatre and voice.

In 1995, Osmond's parents divorced and her mother returned to central Utah where Osmond attended Timpview High School. In 1997, Osmond signed with The McCarthy Talent Agency in Salt Lake City and began modeling and acting professionally.

She was cast in her first leading female role in The Creator's Game (1999) as Delana Cloud, a headstrong Native American teen who, along with her brother, struggles to save the family's landholdings. Osmond worked beside actor/ director Al Herrington of Hawaii Five-0, Navajo musician, Razor Saltboy and Canadian actor, Dakota House. Her performance as Delana Cloud required she learn how to play lacrosse, a skill that capitalized on Osmond's zeal for sports and fitness.

After minor roles in Cowboys and Angels (2000) and Primary Suspect (2000), Osmond relocated herself to Honolulu, Hawaii where she continued modeling and acting while pursuing a career as a sports massage therapist. She was featured in episodes of Baywatch Hawaii (2001) and Hawaii Five-0 (2011) and did background work on Punch Drunk Love (2002) and Blue Crush (2002). She also traveled to Los Angeles, where she worked as a massage therapist on the set of Men and Black II (2002).

Another stunt-filled role came in 2011 when she was cast as Scylencia, The Renegade Angel, a supernatural warrior in the film Jackie Claxton, Battles From Beyond (2013). The character quickly became a fan favorite, inspiring spin-off episodes, franchise merchandising and animation.

In 2015, Osmond relocated to Victoria, Australia where she was cast as Mr. Taylor's New Partner in the Australian television mini-series, Barracuda (2016) which won an Equity Ensemble Award for Outstanding Performance in a miniseries in 2017. Osmond appeared on the popular Australian TV show "Neighbours" and was cast as Trix Baxter in the Nathan Hill film, Colour Blind (2019) also starring "V" actress, Jane Badler.

As a teenager, Osmond was introduced to actor and stunt performer, Rick Taylor on the set of The Creator's Game (1999). They were married a few years later when she was 21. However, not long afterward, the couple announced their separation and subsequently split in 2003. In 2006, Osmond married voice actor, David Washington Jr. with whom she has one daughter (b. 2006). Osmond and Washington divorced in 2012 with Osmond retaining custody of their daughter. She was later married to Australian, Troy Brown (m. 2014 - 2022) but their relationship ended at the height of the COVID pandemic. After returning to The United States, Osmond became engaged to longtime friend and business partner, Alex D. Levin (m. 2024 - present). The couple are married and reside in Northern California.
