Hosted by Snthony Anderson, the show centers around three non-famous relatives of well-known celebrities who perform both solo and in duets with their famous relative. Lola performed The Beach Boys classic "Wouldn't it Be Nice" (written by Tony Asher and her grandfather Brian Wilson) solo, then performed "California Dreamin' as a duet with her then-hidden mother. Both songs were clues to Carnie's identity: the first song for the obvious family connection, the latter because the song (by The Mamas and the Papas) was written by John and Michelle Phillips, the parents of Carnie and sister Wendy's Wilson Phillips band mate Chynna Phillips. The audience/contestants vote for who they think the celebrity is to win money. Of the 100 contenders, only 14 guessed Carnie correctly.
