So in case it’s escaped your notice, 2013 is the fiftieth anniversary of Doctor Who. To celebrate, the BBC are doing…well, a number of things. One of those things is a series of special audio stories (produced by Big Finish). These stories are being released each month, and each features a different Doctor and companion. For the First Doctor, we get Carol Anne Ford reprising her role as Susan, relating a story that takes place just before “An Unearthly Child”.

As the story begins, Susan is learning how to live life among the humans. She’s attending school and dealing with many of the same issues human teenagers deal with, including an interest in a boy (Tam Williams). Photo Coverage: Chariots Of Fire Film Cast Greets UK Stage Company
Ben Cross, Nigel Havers, Nicholas Farrell and Alice Krige, stars of the original 1981 film Chariots of Fire, made a surprise visit to the Gielgud Theatre last night, July 10, to meet with the actors currently performing in Edward Halls five star stage production of the same name. The stage cast, led by James McArdle, Jack Lowden, Tam Williams, Mark Edel-Hunt and Savannah Stevenson were introduced to their film character counterparts and to an excited audience at the Gielgud Theatre. Hugh Hudson, Director of the original film and co-producer of the new stage adaptation joined actors from both film and stage at this unique curtain call.
