Did not originally plan to be in film. When he was fifteen the casting
director of
L'âme des guerriers (1994) was auditioning kids at his school for the part of
Toot. The director saw Shannon slouching from far away and with his
natural dreadlocks and expressive eyes thought he would be the perfect
boy to play the part of Toot.
