The YA story is about losing a sister and finding yourself amid the pressures, expectations and stereotypes of growing up in a Mexican American home. It follows Julia Reyes, a strong-willed teenager to first-generation Mexican immigrants. She often argues with her parents, who wish Julia were more like her sister Olga. However, when Olga unexpectedly dies in an accident, Julia tries to hold her family together.
The script will be written by Linda Yvette Chávez.

Kristin Scott Thomas, Daisy Ridley and Nina Hoss are to star in Second World War drama Women In The Castle, on which Embankment Films has launched world sales.
Adapted from Jessica Shattuck’s 2017 novel, the story centres on three German women during and after the Second World War. The three are widows of conspirators involved in an assassination attempt on Hitler and each struggle with their past and Germany’s liberation.
The film will be written and directed by Jane Anderson, who previously wrote the screenplay for The Wife.

Exclusive: Princess Pictures has acquired screen rights to The Traitor’s Wife, the bestseller by Allison Pataki about Benedict Arnold’s historical betrayal of Gen. George Washington. Turns out that behind the most notorious turncoat of the American Revolutionary War was a wife half his age who orchestrated the whole thing. Peggy Shippen Arnold was a beautiful socialite with a loyalty to the British that led her to exploit her husband’s disillusionment into a scandalous move. The label will team with Anonymous Content, which is coming off HBO’s True Detective. Washington learned of the plot when British Major John Andre was caught with Arnold’s traitorous documents in his boot. While Andre was hanged, Arnold fled and became a Brigadier General for the Brits. There has been a lot of chatter in the press about screen interest on this book by Pataki, who’s the daughter of former New York Gov. George Pataki.

Cologne, Germany -- Two Ubertalents of the German media industry have joined forces: Fred Kogel, former head of commercial network Sat.1 and board member of Munich mini-major Constantin Film has taken over German representation of Teutonic multi-hyphanate Til Schweiger.
Kogel's consulting firm, Fred Kogel GmbH, will rep Schweiger for German film, television, advertising and other projects. Doreen Wilcox of Anonymous Content will continue to represent the U.S. career of the "Inglorious Basterds" star.
In his home country, Schweiger is an undisputed superstar -- the writer, director and lead actor in several boxoffice hits including "Rabbit Without Ears" (2007) and its sequel which together earned nearly $100 million at the till for Warner Bros. Germany. Schweiger is also the front man for several high-profile German ad campaigns, including one for Braun razors and Konig Pilsner beer.
