Exclusive: Manager and producer Doreen Wilcox Little has joined Echo Lake Entertainment after more than a decade at Anonymous Content.

A protégé of Steve Golin, Wilcox Little executive produced Killer Joe during her run at Anonymous, the thrilling drama directed by her late client Oscar winner William Friedkin, starring Matthew McConaughey. She was also an EP on Mapplethorpe, the biopic about the iconic photographer, directed by award-winning documentary filmmaker Ondi Timoner. Wilcox Little’s film credits include the adaptation of Mason Deaver’s YA novel, I Wish You All The Best, written and directed by her client Tommy Dorfman. Alongside the Oscar-winning producers at Macro, Wilcox Little is currently producing I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter for Orion Pictures. The film adaptation of the popular novel is being directed by Oscar-nominated actress America Ferrera this year.

Exclusive: Gail Bean (Snowfall) will topline Both Eyes Open, an indie psychological thriller from writer-director Ariel Julia Hairston (The Comeback), which has wrapped production in Atlanta.

Additional cast for the pic from RodFather Productions includes Taye Diggs (The Best Man), Joy Brunson (This Is Us), Christie Leverette (You’ll Never Leave Me), Tristan Mack Wilds (The Wire), Michael Oloyede (This is Paradise), and Carla Fisher (The Boss).

Exclusive: Jordan Alexa Davis (Defending Jacob) and P.J. Byrne (A Complete Unknown) are the final two additions to the cast of Flowervale Street, David Robert Mitchell’s IMAX “thrill-ride” for Warner Bros. Pictures and Bad Robot.

Their roles are under wraps, as is the film’s logline. Previously announced cast includes Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor, Maisy Stella, and Christian Convery.

Mitchell is directing from his script, also producing alongside J.J. Abrams and Hannah Minghella for Bad Robot, Jackson Pictures’ Matt Jackson, and Tommy Harper. Jake Weiner and Chris Bender of Good Fear Content are serving as executive producers, with Sheila Walcott and Zach Hamby overseeing the project for Warner Bros Motion Picture Group. Amazon MGM Studios’ Orion Pictures is developing America Ferrera’s feature directorial debut, I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter, after the project was previously set up at Netflix.

Ferrera is set to direct from a script by Linda Yvette Chávez that adapts author Erika Sánchez’s best-selling 2017 young adult novel of the same name. The story centers on Chicago-based teen Julia Reyes, who aspires to become a successful writer but struggles to live up to her family’s expectations following the tragic death of her seemingly perfect sister Olga.

The movie hails from Anonymous Content and Macro Film Studios. Producers include Doreen Wilcox Little, Charles D. King, Poppy Hanks and David Kuhn, while Sánchez and Greta Talia Fuentes serve as executive producers.

America Ferrera is making her feature film directorial debut with “I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter.” The film, adapted from Erika L. Sánchez’s novel, will debut on Netflix.

The YA story is about losing a sister and finding yourself amid the pressures, expectations and stereotypes of growing up in a Mexican American home. It follows Julia Reyes, a strong-willed teenager to first-generation Mexican immigrants. She often argues with her parents, who wish Julia were more like her sister Olga. However, when Olga unexpectedly dies in an accident, Julia tries to hold her family together.

The script will be written by Linda Yvette Chávez.

Kristin Scott Thomas, Daisy Ridley and Nina Hoss are to star in Second World War drama Women In The Castle, on which Embankment Films has launched world sales.

Adapted from Jessica Shattuck’s 2017 novel, the story centres on three German women during and after the Second World War. The three are widows of conspirators involved in an assassination attempt on Hitler and each struggle with their past and Germany’s liberation.

The film will be written and directed by Jane Anderson, who previously wrote the screenplay for The Wife.

Kristin Scott Thomas (“Fleabag”), Daisy Ridley (the “Star Wars” franchise) and Nina Hoss (“My Little Sister”) will star in writer-director Jane Anderson’s “Women in the Castle.”

Adapted by Anderson from Jessica Shattuck’s 2017 New York Times bestseller, the film, set in the ruins of WW2 Germany, follows three women, bound by their past and clinging to each other for a future, who must grapple with the realities of liberation from the Nazis, and face the consequences of decisions they cannot undo.

Exclusive: Princess Pictures has acquired screen rights to The Traitor’s Wife, the bestseller by Allison Pataki about Benedict Arnold’s historical betrayal of Gen. George Washington. Turns out that behind the most notorious turncoat of the American Revolutionary War was a wife half his age who orchestrated the whole thing. Peggy Shippen Arnold was a beautiful socialite with a loyalty to the British that led her to exploit her husband’s disillusionment into a scandalous move. The label will team with Anonymous Content, which is coming off HBO’s True Detective. Washington learned of the plot when British Major John Andre was caught with Arnold’s traitorous documents in his boot. While Andre was hanged, Arnold fled and became a Brigadier General for the Brits. There has been a lot of chatter in the press about screen interest on this book by Pataki, who’s the daughter of former New York Gov. George Pataki.

Cologne, Germany -- Two Ubertalents of the German media industry have joined forces: Fred Kogel, former head of commercial network Sat.1 and board member of Munich mini-major Constantin Film has taken over German representation of Teutonic multi-hyphanate Til Schweiger.

Kogel's consulting firm, Fred Kogel GmbH, will rep Schweiger for German film, television, advertising and other projects. Doreen Wilcox of Anonymous Content will continue to represent the U.S. career of the "Inglorious Basterds" star.

In his home country, Schweiger is an undisputed superstar -- the writer, director and lead actor in several boxoffice hits including "Rabbit Without Ears" (2007) and its sequel which together earned nearly $100 million at the till for Warner Bros.
