Bill is from Norfolk, VA and attended William & Mary College. His career spanned 8 decades, finding him on stage, TV, & films. On Broadway he was in Hadrian the Seventh", and he was in the original cast of Sam Shephard's Pulitzer Prize winning play, "Buried Child". He and his wife, Mary Linda Phillips moved from NYC to LA in 1980 and did a lot of work, as shown in his credits. They raised two sons, Henry Phillips (Comedian/Musician) and Bill Phillips. He was born 11/1/28 and died 7/12/21.
