Well, it looks like that might be it for Daredevil: Born Again set photos for a while. Showrunner Dario Scardapane has taken to Instagram to confirm that shooting has wrapped on the upcoming second season. Reshoots are always possible, but it will now move into post-production.

When Daredevil: Born Again was first announced by Marvel Studios, it was as an 18-episode series. That was soon broken up into two seasons, though we'd later learn that season 2 will consist of 8 episodes rather than 9.

As for a potential season 3, that's been talked about but isn't likely to be confirmed until Disney+ sees how the second batch of episodes performs.

Exclusive: Tobin Babst, a veteran film and television literary manager, is leaving Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment (Kpe) after 12 years to launch a new venture. He’ll launch Northstar Entertainment with several long-time clients including Jay Basu, Dave Callaham, Joby Harold, Christina Hodson, Eileen Jones, Darren Lemke, Ken Nolan, Matthew Plouffe, Jessica Sharzer, Jonathan Tropper and Jesse Wigutow.

Babst had been a partner at Kpe for more than 12 years. Prior to that, he started his career at UTA, where he served as an agent in the Motion Picture Literary Department for 12 years.

“Northstar’s objective is to simply focus on what matters most: our clients, their careers, and their stories,” Babst told Deadline. “I am thankful for my time at Kpe and the successful years we’ve shared. I wish Aaron Kaplan, Sean Perrone, and all my former colleagues the very best.”

Tron is today regarded as a cult classic, having been one of the most well-liked science fiction movies of its time when it debuted in 1982. Despite receiving mixed reviews for its 2010 sequel, Tron: Legacy, Disney decided to go ahead and make another sequel. Tron: Ares will be the following film in the series and will be a stand-alone follow-up to the first two films.

We know that the movie will be led by Jared Leto, as well as that franchise veteran Jeff Bridges will also be coming back to the movie. On top of that, we have a lot of the casting information, as well as a trailer; this is all we have already reported on.

In light of that, director Joachim Rønning shared some updates on the movie, explaining that the film’s tone will change when compared to the previous films, and he also confirmed some exciting news about the music.

Its time to re-enter The Grid as we finally have our first proper look at Tron 3 (Tron: Ares). In a new interview with Empire, director Joachim Rnning has teased what we can expect from one of the most integral elements of the movie: the soundtrack. The previous installment, Tron: Legacy, was bolstered by a heart-thumping soundtrack by Daft Punk. This time, The Grid and Rnning turn to the talents of Nine Inch Nails to tell this "emotional" tale.

With Nine Inch Nails making the music, this instalment will be a little grittier, a little bit more industrial. Its been important for me to contrast The Grid and the real world. In that sense, Nine Inch Nails lends itself perfectly into this new Tron world that we are creating.

What I always look for in any story is a strong emotional core. This film will probably be more emotional than people are expecting.

Last October, the news broke that Marvel Studios had fired Daredevil: Born Again Head Writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman as part of a creative overhaul.

Directors hired to helm the remaining instalments of the 9-episode were also let go, and while some of the material shot will still be used, the idea was to take the Daredevil revival in a new creative direction.

Dario Scardapane was later tapped to serve as showrunner, with Moon Knight and Loki directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead brought on board to help right the ship.

Now, the Writers Guild of America website has revealed the official writing credits and Ord and Corman are only credited for the second episode. Disney held its annual D23 fan event in Anaheim, California this weekend. At the convention, the studio unveiled key details about the third installment in the “Tron” franchise, titled “Tron: Ares.”

Set to debut in theaters on October 10, 2025, “Tron: Ares” will bring back elements that made the original 1982 film innovative. It will continue pushing boundaries with state-of-the-art visual effects. At D23, attendees got a first look at the film through its debut trailer and announcements about the cast and creative team.

The footage suggested “Tron: Ares” will grapple with timely AI and big tech issues. Stars Jeff Bridges, Jared Leto, Greta Lee, and Evan Peters were on hand to discuss their roles. Leto described playing the villainous Ares program, who seeks to control the digital world permanently. When Tron first appeared in 1982, it became one of the most popular sci-fi films of the era and is now considered a cult classic. D23 returns us to The Grid thanks to the recently screened footage of Tron: Ares. Actors Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Jeff Bridges, and Evan Peters joined the D23 stage to introduce the footage, which Deadline describes as follows:

"The light cycles of Tron are seen speeding through city streets, leaving laser thin waves behind them, and splicing cars on the street in half. Jared Leto plays the Tron-like character clad in red while Greta Lee plays a brilliant programmer whose great work has Ares coming into the world. Leto in the voice-over of the trailer says, I came here to find somethingsomething important. We see him zooming on a light cycle with Lees character. Bridges, who is the hacker and original video game character Kevin Flynn, appears as something of an apparition at the end in white robes."

Disney unveiled the first footage of “Tron: Ares,” the third film in the sci-fi franchise about a world of virtual reality based inside a computer mainframe. Cast members Jared Leto, Evan Peters, Greta Lee and Jeff Bridges unveiled the first look on Friday night during Disney’s marathon presentation of its upcoming slate during the D23 Expo.

At the end of the footage, a title card revealed that the score was compased by Nine Inch Nails, the industrial rock and electronica band founded by Trent Reznor and joined in 2016 by frequent collaborator Atticus Ross. Reznor and Ross, who’ve won Oscars for their scores for 2010’s “The Social Network” and 2020’s “Soul,” appeared briefly on stage together after the announcement.

Disney announced, during its Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23, that the influential composers behind “The Social Network” and HBO’s “Watchmen,” would be composing the original score for the forthcoming “Tron” sequel, “Tron: Ares,” which is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 10, 2025.

Reznor and Ross, who in addition to being Hollywood’s most in-demand composers are also members of industrial rock outfit Nine Inch Nails, have some mighty big shoes to fill. 1982’s “Tron” had a cutting-edge score composed by Wendy Carlos, who had also composed the score to Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining” and “A Clockwork Orange.”

Per Variety, Turner-Smith has officially joined the cast for Showtime's upcoming series, The Agency. She joins what is shaping up to be a top-tier cast that includes Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, and Richard Gere. The Agency is based off the French television series, Le Bureau des Legendes. Jared Leto has booked his next project. The Academy Award-winning actor is set to produce and star in an untitled film loosely inspired by the life of suspected cat burglar Dr. Lawrence Gray.

According to Deadline, the project is set up at h.wood Media, the multi-strategy vertical of L.A.-based hospitality company The h.wood Group. Andy Bellin (Lovelace) is writing the screenplay, which adapts the 2022 Air Mail article The Talented Dr. Gray by Steve Kroft and Howard L. Rosenberg. Leto will produce alongside Emma Ludbrook, through their production company Paradox, in partnership with Scoop Wasserstein's Scoop Productions.

The long-awaited third entry in the Tron franchise is finally in production. Six years after it was first announced that Jared Leto was in talks to star in a Tron project called Tron: Ares, the movie was all set to start filming last August – but then it had to wait out the writers and actors strikes. With those strikes over, filming is finally underway. Earlier today, we heard a quote from cast member Cameron Monaghan (Gotham), who said this film will “really push forward what can be done, from a visual perspective.” Now, we have another quote about the movie – and this is the one that every Tron fan has been waiting to hear. The filming of Tron: Ares, the third movie in the Tron franchise, is currently underway, as director Joachim Rønning and his cast are preparing for the planned 2025 release. Many details about the upcoming movie are still scarce and things are kept under wraps, but some of the actors have spoken out about the movie and its production, providing us with some very positive comments. On the other hand, while the cast members have been more or less known, their roles (save for the protagonist) are still undisclosed, which means that casting updates will be frequent as more details are revealed.
