Maria Awes is co-owner of Committee Films, Inc., a television production company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She oversees development of new projects and serves as an Executive Producer on all of Committee's series and specials for networks including ABC, History, HGTV, ID, Discovery+, FoxNation and more. Recent series credits include I Was There for History and Killer Next Door for FoxNation. With a background in investigative journalism, Maria also spearheads true crime investigations for TV, which include a 6-part series for ID called Serial Killer: Devil Unchained and a 2022 ABC News: 20/20 special called Gone At Dawn.
