Jon Turtletaub hints at Ian Howe's release from prison, sparking speculation about his return in National Treasure 3. Harvey Keitel will guest star in National Treasure: Edge of History, a series based on the movie franchise starring Nicolas Cage. He’ll reprise his role as Peter Sadusky, an FBI agent who investigated the theft of the Declaration of Independence. The news was announced Thursday during a panel for the series at Comic-Con in San Diego.

Though the teaser is quick, there’s plenty to be seen. It opens in an office, where our new hero has a whole board set up with maps and information, presumably related to the next treasure that’s out in the world. Wearing a very Indiana Jones-esque hat and jacket, she takes off her hat to reveal long hair and looks straight into camera.

We’re two weeks out from San Diego Comic-Con 2022, which happens to be the first real Sdcc since Covid-19 shut everything down in 2020. Yes, Comic-Con international did hold a very small, stripped down version of the event last thanksgiving but this year marks the convention’s return — hopefully — to pre-covid glory.

Naturally, you can expect a lot of great panels and events to plan for, and lucky for you, per tradition, today marks the start of daily news drops for the Sdcc 2022 schedule. So grab your calendar and let’s get started.

Paramount claimed the first Hall H panel of Sdcc 2022 with a look at “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,” which starts at noon on July 21 in Hall H.

Bartha starred in the two “National Treasure” films, released in 2004 and 2007 as Riley Poole, the best friend and computer expert sidekick of treasure hunting lead Benjamin Franklin Gates (Nicolas Cage). Bartha will appear in a guest capacity for the upcoming Disney Plus series, which stars a new cast of treasure hunters searching for a lost Pan-American treasure.

Disney announced on Monday that Justin Bartha will reprise his role as Riley Poole from the two “National Treasure” films in the TV series, albeit in a guest starring capacity.
