- Was part of the original 1968 cast of the hit Off-Broadway play, "The Boys in the Band." In it, he played Alan, the married man who serves as the main catalyst in the play. Peter and the entire company transferred their roles brilliantly to the 1970 film version.
- American actor known for his clean-cut Ivy League look and prematurely gray hair whose early career was comprised almost entirely of legitimate Theatre and Daytime soap work. One heartfelt role was playing Linc Tyler on and off for over thirty years on La force du destin (1970).
