  • Singer, pianist, ukulele player, songwriter, author, Radio DJ, television presenter and actor. His grandfather H.J. Whitcomb co-founded film production company British Screen Classics in 1925, and his father pianist Pat Whitcombe appeared in one of the films.
  • The same year that Titanic (1997) was released in theatres, Ian Whitcomb released the CD "Titanic: Music as Heard on the Fateful Voyage (Rhino R2 72821)." He won a Grammy for the CD in 1998.
