Hosting the Sphere Magazine Fundraiser
Scott Ryan is a producer and director whose work spans documentary, animated and scripted film and television.

He is best known for his work in We Want the Airwaves, Housebound (2000), and Manifesto! (2006). In 2005 Scott created the first-of-its-kind television docuseries Manifesto!, which featured the stories of advocates across the globe. Recently, Scott founded Monkey Wrench Agency, a company focused on production of social actions docs and public service announcements for underserved non-profits. A public service announcement he directed and produced for 5 Gyres Institute was featured in their international campaign to ban plastic microbead pollution in our waterways; this resulted in a statewide ban in California and contributed to a nationwide ban, which was signed by Barack Obama in 2015 and known as "The Microbead Free Waters Act."
