Explosive Tremors 7 Set Video Goes Behind-the-Scenes with the Cast
Kevin Bacon, Finn Carter, and Fred Ward in Tremors (1990)
The seventh film in the cult classic Tremors series Tremors: Island Fury began filming in Thailand last week. And to celebrate the beginning of principal photography, the official Tremors Instagram page shared a fun video intro with Gross looking like a homeless Santa Clause. And before you say anything, I know what you're thinking. Is that Napoleon Dynamite and Flaca from Orange Is the New Black hanging out with the South Bend Shovel Slayer on vacation? And to that question, I have to say, yes, crazy as it sounds, yes that is Jon Heder and Jackie Cruz hugging all up on the new My Name is Earl version of Burt Gummer.

And speaking of Cruz, the My Own Worst Enemy and Kourtney & Khlo&#233 Take Miami actress also took to Instagram to share a pic of herself getting all kinds of chummy-chummy with Tremors: Island Fury and What Happened to Monday,...

Michael Gross Will Return as Burt Gummer in Tremors 7
Rejoice, Tremors fans as today we have word that Universal has just given the green light to the seventh entry in the creature feature series, Tremors 7! But that's not all. Oh, no. Today we also learned that franchise mainstay and all-around badass Michael Gross aka Burt Gummer aka the maniac with All the guns, will be returning to his classic role once again. Gross himself took to Facebook to announce his involvement with the seventh film in the series, writing this.

"Tremors fans will be delighted to know I have just agreed to the terms of a contract for a Seventh film. My best estimate is that Burt Gummer will begin his hunt for Graboids and other nefarious forms of wildlife in the fall of 2019.

Gross has played Gummer more than a few times by this point so his involvement shouldn't be a shock to anyone. It's still an utter joy,...

In this, the sixth film in the long-running Tremors franchise, Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and his son Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy) are called to a research facility in the frozen tundra of the Canadian Arctic. Burt begins to suspect that Graboids are secretly being weaponized, but before he can prove his theory, he is side-lined by Graboid venom. With just 48 hours to live, the only hope is to create an antidote from fresh venom – but to do that, someone will have to figure out how to milk a Graboid.

Ok, so we’re on the sixth film in the series and the second to feature Jaime Kennedy… Which is not a...

First Tremors 6 Photos Introduce A Host Of New Characters
While these pictures may not include any monsters – nor anyone that looks particularly chilly – the first images from Tremors 6: A Cold Day In Hell are entirely on-brand for the iconic horror-comedy franchise, which is now in its 28th year.

Featuring Michael Gross as Burt Gummer – the only character to have appeared in every Tremors project released so far – they reveal plenty of guns being aimed out of buildings, pneumatic drills and some tense ‘don’t walk on the ground!’ shots. Mostly, though, we can see that Gross and his cast are having a great time, and that’s really what this franchise is all about.

The premise for the series is gloriously simple. Back in 1990, we saw the tiny, desert town of Perfection ravaged by monsters called Graboids that live under the sand. With the action then led by Kevin Bacon’s Val McKee and Fred Ward’s Earl Bass,...

The movie has been in the works for a while now and will see star Michael Gross return once again as Burt Gummer, doing what he does best; hunting Graboids. Now, the movie has been given an official PG-13 rating by the MPAA. In addition, Tremors 6 has been given an official title.

The new Tremors flick is officially titled Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell. The title refers to the setting in the Canadian tundra. As for the PG-13 rating? That shouldn't come as a big surprise, as every movie in the franchise to date has been given the same rating. In Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell,...

Just don't expect to be seeing it in a theater near you, as it will likely be direct-to-video, but still. Michael Gross, who (usually) plays Burt Gummer in the Tremors franchise, took to Facebook to announced that Universal has settled on a release date for Tremors 6. The movie is now set to arrive on January 30, 2018. That will put it right in the heart of a pretty slow time during the year in terms of movie releases, so that could pay off. Duck and Cover, Here Comes Tremors 5: A Film Review
*full disclosure: a Blu-ray screener of this film was provided by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment for review. Director: Don Michael Paul. Writers: M.A. Deuce, C.J. Strebor, William Truesmith and John Whelpley. Cast: Michael Gross, Jamie Kennedy. More than ten years after the last Tremors film, Tremors 4: The Legend Begins, (which is actually a prequel) the flesh-hungry graboids are back for more blood! Too bad nobody cares. This fifth film in the series is a sequel to Tremors 3: Back to Perfection. Even with the return of franchise star Michael Gross ("Family Ties") as Burt Gummer, and the addition of another horror franchise star, Jamie Kennedy, (Scream series) almost nothing is salvageable from the wreckage of this unnecessary fifth installment. Admittedly, this viewer has not seen any of the Tremors sequels, but thoroughly enjoyed the 1990 original, so was hoping for at least some cheesy B-Movie-type entertainment. Unfortunately, entertainment was not high on the agenda.

Sci Fi enters realm of 'Gods'
Irwin Winkler
Sci Fi Channel is developing Chariots of the Gods, a six-hour miniseries based on the best-selling book by Erich von Daniken that is being executive produced by Oscar winner Irwin Winkler and written by veteran sci-fi series scribe John Whelpley. The enormously popular book introduced the theory that Earth was visited by extraterrestrials in ancient times. Described as Raiders of the Lost Ark meets The Da Vinci Code, the project centers on a soldier returning from his tour of duty who brings with him an artifact that holds the key to uncovering one of the greatest secrets in human existence -- that aliens have been interfering with human genetics since ancient times. Rob Cowan and David Winkler also will executive produce. The project was brought to Winkler Films by executive producers Ken Hawryliw and Jim Gutteridge. Sci Fi is expected to announce the mini as part of its overall development slate today during the network's upfront presentation.
