Born in California and raised in New York and graduated from Tulane University School of Engineering in 1973. Organised the first New Orleans International Womens Film Festival in 1975 where he met Micheline Charest a producer with the National Film Board of Canada. Co-Founder in 1976 of Cinar Films Inc. (Cinar Corporation) including all divisions and subsidiaries -Cinar Animation, Cinar Productions, Cinar Studios and Cinar Education along with the late Micheline Charest. Co-founder of Canadian cable network -Teletoon.
