Jim Wedaa
Jim Wedaa, originally from Yorba Linda, California, attended film school at UCLA and graduated in 1987. Beginning his career in the Story Department at Weintraub Entertainment Group, Jim soon joined Hollywood Pictures, a division of the Walt Disney Company. While at Disney, Jim oversaw the production of nearly a dozen films including The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Dangerous Minds, Bound by Honor, Camp Nowhere and The Puppet Masters, among others. Leaving in 1994 to form his own production company, Jim was notable for once setting up fifteen projects in 18 months, three of which were produced: Black Dog, Red Team and Unstoppable. Joining the Jacobson Company in 1996 as Head of Production, Jim co-produced Brian DePalma's Mission to Mars and executive produced the Barry Sonnenfeld comedy, Big Trouble. Leaving the company in 2003, Jim formed Jim Wedaa Productions and Parallax Talent Management. Most recently Jim produced Brahms: The Boy Part 2, the sequel to the horror hit, and Mixtape a family film for Netflix.
