Eric Weber
Dynamic, experienced, and versatile, walking the fine line between businessman and artist, Eric has over half a century of experience as a filmmaker, writer, and marketing exec. Fresh out of NYU, at the age of twenty-four, Eric penned the seminal guide "How to Pick Up Girls," which soon took off and sold over three million copies and inspired numerous imitators - as well as an adaptation in 1978 starring Desi Arnaz Jr.

Eric then took a position at Young & Rubicam, ascending the ranks and becoming Executive Creative Director and Executive Vice Chairman. At Y & R, Eric conceived of a number of iconic advertising campaigns including "Be A Pepper" for Dr. Pepper, and and "Betcha Bite a Chip" for Chips Ahoy. Eric's advertising work gained him numerous accolades, including a Gold and Silver Lion at Cannes.

Secure in his future, in the 90s, Eric turned his pen towards screenwriting and has since written, directed, and produced several films with his production company, The Tenafly Film Company.

Eric's Tenafly works have found much acclaim, with his film "Second Best" becoming an official selection at Sundance, Austin, and The Hamptons Film Festivals. The New York Times called it, "A funny bitter understanding of male competition and ego. This smart-enough-to-make-you-squirm comedy is ripe with brutal honesty and perverse glee."

His most recent effort, "Emily and Tim" was awarded Best Screenplay in the 2015 Rhode Island Film Festival and was nominated for the Grand Prix des Amériques at the Montreal World Film Festival and attained distribution through Netflix.

Eric is also an avid golfer and a devoted family man, belongs to three country clubs and having four kids with his wife of nearly fifty years, Joanna. Staying busy, Eric is developing a myriad of different feature screenplays, including:

"REALITY FICTION," a dramedy that follows a down on his luck writer, who is forced out of his NYC studio apartment and into a New Jersey boarding house. He must contend with ragtag boarders and their veteran landlord as he attempts to create a new genre called "reality fiction" where he inserts himself directly and actively into the story of his quest to bust the neighborhood drug dealer. Currently, "Reality Fiction" has received third place in both the Meraki Film Festival, and The Indie Gathering. "JUST JULIANA" a horror-satire in which a beautiful young actress is lured to New York City by a sleazy movie producer with the promise of starring in a major movie, but soon discovers she's been tricked, and plots her revenge on the producer and his wealthy cronies. "Just Juliana" has scored a number of prizes including best film at the Die Laughing Film Festival, finaling in the Breaking Walls Thriller Contest, and semi-finaling in the Poe Festival.
