She was an actress, known for Cléopâtre (1963), Never Take Sweets from a Stranger (1960) and ITV Saturday Night Theatre (1969). She was married to Richard Bebb. She died on February 6, 1994 in Westminster, London, England, UK.

  • The daughter of a retired British army officer, she yearned to be a concert pianist and only found out from her music teacher after ten years of hard study that this was never going to happen.
  • She was awarded the 'Laurence Olivier (I)' Theatre Award in 1982 (1981 season) for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in "Present Laughter".
  • Trained at the Old Vic and at the Embassy Theatre.
  • A memorial service was held for her at St. Paul's Church, Covent Garden on 22nd March 1994.
  • She was nominated Television Actress of the Year 1957-58.
