Fred Warren
Fred Warren and his wife Effie Conley-Warren were a Vaudeville singing and dancing team around the turn of the century. Fred Warren was the brother-in-law to Maxwell Karger who was one of the founders and the general manager of Metro Pictures before Metro became MGM. Fred Warren enjoyed an illustrious career making numerous films in Hollywood. Fred and Effie Warren made West Hollywood their home 1916 to 1940 and allowed their friend Rudolph Valentino to be married in their backyard. Fred spent many hours playing piano at Barney's Beanery.
