Great-grandson of writer/humorist Ring Lardner, grand-nephew of Academy
Award winning screenwriter and Hollywood Ten member Ring Lardner Jr. Father was
co-founder of New York's Elaine's restaurant. First professional job was a small part in Whit Stillman's 1990 Oscar nominated Metropolitan. Part of the early 90s New York indie film wave with the 1994 micro budget feature My Life's in Turnaround (1993). Has identical twin daughters.
