Chyna is among those tragic stories of WWE that they would want to forget, but her presence in WWE and whatever she gave was just immeasurable. However, she wasn’t dealt a fair hand in WWE. She had always been critical of the whole franchise after she left it.
Chyna suffered a tragic end to her life in 2016, but before that, she was already screaming the truth about the entire system in WWE. She had a bold personality and never backed off from expressing her views online.

In 1995, a young man named Paul Levesque strolled onto the grand stage of WWE, after only three years as a professional wrestler. As an impressive bodybuilder and a pro wrestling prodigy, he not only looked the part - he was the part. It was stated by a few of his fellow wrestlers that the future star said to them, "Someday... I'm going to run this place."
30 years later, that statement is essentially true. Levesque is the man behind the blueprint of the modern WWE. While he will never be forgotten for his wrestling career, the performer known worldwide as Triple H has morphed into an elite executive. It's almost ironic that he once led a faction called 'Evolution', because he may have transformed more than anyone in the history of the promotion.

It's now been 25 years since the formation of the New World Order, the day that forever changed the pro wrestling business. Led by Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall, the popular faction would go on to become one of the most well-known groups in the history of pro wrestling. It all began at the Bash at the Beach pay-per-view event on July 7, 1996 --- a full 25 years ago today.
In the months leading up to the show, Kevin Nash (aka Diesel) and Scott Hall (aka Razor Ramon) both defected from WWE for higher paychecks at Ted Turner's WCW. Both wrestlers had begun appearing on WCW programming as part of a storyline that saw WWE stars "invading" WCW. To fight back against the invaders, WCW organized a match at Bash at the Beach with three of the company's biggest stars taking on Nash, Hall, and a mystery opponent the team...

William Shatner will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next week as part of the Class of 2020. Because last year's ceremony was canceled, WWE will be simultaneously inducting two classes this year, recognizing different groups of talent for the Classes of 2020 and 2021. Various celebrities have been inducted through the Hall's "Celebrity Wing" in years past, and now Shatner will take his place among them with his official induction.
Shatner's induction into the WWE Hall of Fame is not as random as it might seem to those who weren't watching pro wrestling in early 1995. At the time, wrestling villain Jerry "The King" Lawler was hosting a televised segment called the "King's Court" when Shatner appeared as a special guest. After Lawler began taunting William Shatner, the Star Trek star ended up taking down "The King" with a wrestling maneuver in the ring.

Welcome to this week’s SmackDown review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a big Gauntlet Match to get to, so…
Match #1: Bayley & Sasha Banks def. Naomi & Lacey Evans The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The unlikely duo of Naomi & Lacey Evans caught Bayley and the returning Sasha Banks last week on Friday Night SmackDown, defeating them in tag team action, but the SmackDown Women’s Champion & The Boss looked to retaliate tonight in this rematch. Naomi received a much-needed tag from Lacey and went on a tear, launching herself over the top rope to wipe out Bayley and pulverizing Sasha with a series of blistering kicks. Naomi went for the split-legged moonsault, but Bayley interfered from the apron, and Sasha took advantage by striking with Meteora to defeat The Glow.
My Opinion: 2.4 out of 5 – Hey, at least Bayley/Sasha Banks won. This wasn’t worth watching.

The professional wrestling world is in mourning today, after news broke last night that Joanie Laurer, best known as WWE Superstar Chyna, passed away at the age of 45. We showed you a number of social media posts that came in last night, from pro wrestlers past and present, paying tribute to this squared circle icon. As the news continued to spread, even more wrestlers paid their respects through social media, as you can see in the several tweets we've gathered below.
The former wrestler's manager told E! News last night that "she was found peacefully," and police couldn't find any signs of foul play. Authorities were called to Chyna's apartment in Redondo Beach, California on Wednesday afternoon, after a friend discovered she was not breathing. She was pronounced dead on the scene, and the cause of death is currently unknown.

Former WWE legend Chyna, real name Joanie Laurer, has died aged 45.
The sportswoman was found at a property in Redondo Beach, California, on Wednesday evening (April 20), with police called at around 7.30pm.
Her passing was confirmed with a statement on Chyna's official Twitter account, which read: "It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her."
According to TMZ.com, officers are now investigating Laurer's passing as a potential overdose, due to her history with drug addiction.

When transferring biographies to the big screen, Hollywood tends to think of professional wrestlers as just behind reality show chefs and retired mathematicians in terms of how many exciting their lives are. That’s despite the fact that there’s often more drama and tragedy outside of the ring than there is in any weekly WWE programming.
But let’s pretend for just a minute that we live in a more perfect world, where the big wigs in Los Angeles loved D-Generation X just as much as you did, and are finally ready to make a movie full of crotch chops with a soundtrack by Rage Against the Machine. Who do you cast to play X-Pac? Huh, hoss? Who Do You Get To Play Sean Waltman?

If you were a fan of wrestling in the nineties, especially WWE you would see the likes of Razor Ramon, Diesel, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and Shawn Michaels battle each other and just saw it as the usual practice. Then you discovered the Internet and the wrestling websites that gave an often-incorrect version of what happened behind the scenes. This included stories of “The Kliq”. With WWE: The Kliq Rules, WWE finally reveals their version of the story.
I say their version; because the WWE releases are a sanitised history that works with what the company want you to know. Based on the infamous Madison Square Garden moment, which almost buried Triple H’s career, we finally get to see the shaky footage in its entirety and hear the story from the people themselves. Former WWE diva Chyna has spoken up against claims that she was nearly taken down by security during Roddy Piper’s funeral on Tuesday in Portland.
Sean Waltman, who used to wrestle in WWE regularly as X-Pac, noted that Chyna went up to Triple H to say sorry for the things she said to him and claimed that security was there to take her down. That’s the story that we ran on Thursday. Waltman was very open about what he perceived to take place there, but just like any situation like this, there is another side to the story.
Chyna posted a Youtube video talking about what she was accused of doing and she denied that any altercation took place. Here’s part of what she said followed by her video:
“I whispered in his ear how deeply sorry that I am for anything that I said under emotional distress.

It was reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Chyna and Triple H were both at Roddy Piper’s funeral in Portland on Tuesday, but that they didn’t interact at all. Former WWE superstar Sean Waltman (who is most well known as X-Pac or Syxx), went on Twitter to claim that Chyna was nearly taken down by security.
She was very close to being taken down by security, whether she knows it or not, after the threats & lies she's told about him.
— Sean Waltman (@TheRealXPac) August 13, 2015
The reason for the issues with Chyna and Triple H is because she claimed that Triple H hit her about 15 years ago when they were dating. She made those claims more than once too, which led to Triple H releasing statements through the media to deny those claims on two separate occasions in the past few months.

Triple H has released a statement with regards to his ex-girlfriend Chyna claiming once again on Opie Radio that he hit her when they were in a relationship in the early 2000s.
The following statement was issued to PWInsider after her appearance;
“The false statements and reckless allegations Joan Laurer (aka Chyna) continues to make about a physical dispute are a complete fabrication. As I’ve said in the past, while Joan has had significant struggles in life, this does not justify making such claims.”
It’s understandable why Triple H would want to reply to this because it’s a popular radio show and a lot of people heard it. Chyna was the in-studio guest on the show, then her ex-boyfriend Sean Waltman (X-Pac) called in and called her out for lying about some of the things she was saying like how Waltman raped her, which he vehemently denied.

A “Paul Heyman Guy” is described as someone who Paul Heyman has taken under his wing and played a significant factor in their rise to super stardom. Needless to say, pretty much everyone wants to be one. Who wouldn’t to be associated with one of the greatest minds in the wrestling business?
However, the reason the term “Paul Heyman Guy” has reached the heights that it has is because of its exposure on WWE programming; hence, you won’t hear the phrase “I’m a Triple H Guy” on TV, although many wrestlers consider themselves to be one. Whether it was him signing someone to a contract or simply him believing in their abilities, there have been a number of names over the years whose careers were heavily influenced by The Game.
Triple H will go down as one of the greatest stars in the history of this industry.

Listen to any major star who has carved a living for themselves in the wrestling world, male or female, and they will gladly tell anyone with ears that they need to start using them. The very definition of the word ‘advice’ is, ‘guidance or recommendations concerning prudent future action, typically given by someone regarded as knowledgeable or authoritative’.
There are 2 key elements to that meaning, most notably the fact that it concerns what is coming in the future, along with the fact it is delivered by somebody who has past experience, or the best intentions for the recipient. Often, the best advice comes from people who have someone’s well-being at heart, and thus don’t want them to fall into a trap they perhaps did, or see something they could improve on to make the best of what they have.

The Undertaker almost left WWE and signed with WCW in 2000, according to Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman. The Nwo stars were talking with Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard, and they stated that Taker was close to signing when his WWF contract was expiring.
“We had ‘Taker close. All of a sudden he wasn’t the Deadman. He became the American Badass for a reason. That Deadman wasn’t going to f***in’ come to WCW. He would have been the biker character and gone by Mark Calaway,” Nash states.
The article adds that Taker was a free agent and unhappy with the direction of his character in WWE. It is unknown if the ‘American Badass’ was what he was unhappy with, or in fact if the character change was part of Vince McMahon’s attempts to keep Taker by giving him something more realistic.

So here we are, only a week away from the official launch of the Road to WrestleMania, the 2015 Royal Rumble. The Rumble is one of my personal favourite wrestling shows annually, and has been since I started watching professional wrestling 22 years ago. Let’s see if this episode of Raw, being promoted as a “Reunion Edition”, will be able to get some extra interest on that show.
Brock Lesnar, along with Paul Heyman, comes out first and Brock calls out Rollins due to what Seth did to him (curb stomp anyone?) at the close of last week’s show. Instead of Rollins, Triple H comes out and tries to calm Brock down. Lesnar asks Trips if he wants to fight. Heyman amusingly screams “he pays the bills” to Brock during all of this. Stephanie, along with Kane and Big Show comes down, and tries to appeal to Lesnar to calm down too.

Tonight’s WWE Raw show is scheduled to be a ‘Raw Reunion’, with several major returns planned. The show will be from Dallas, Texas, and major names appearing will be Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels.
The show will be built around nostalgia and it could feature an nWo and D Generation X face off. All the major talent from the two factions will be there, leading the internet wrestling community to speculate on an nWo vs Dx angle being established. Perhaps it could even lead to a match at WrestleMania 31, as Hulk Hogan continues to talk about competing this year. The nWo vs Dx would certainly be a big money draw.
In all likelihood, any returns on tonight’s Raw will be for one night only. There does seem a very good chance of the nWo reuniting, but it will be limited to this Raw and no further dates.

Sean Waltman has had a very interesting pro wrestling career over last 25 years. He first became known in WWE in 1993 first as the 1-2-3 Kid thanks to his massive upset win over Razor Ramon on Raw. It was a star making match that put him on the map and led to him being a regular performer in multiple wrestling companies over the next two decades. He was best known by his later WWE name, X-Pac.
What’s so impressive about X-Pac is that match with Hall took place when he was just 20 years old. In addition to being really young, he was considered small at about 6’0″ and he must have weighed around 175 pounds at that point. He got bigger later in his career, but in those early days he was tiny. It made him the perfect underdog that was able to win some matches too.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Scott Hall has spurned a ‘get well soon’ card for a child with terminal cancer. It’s the latest in a sting of incomprehensible incidents around Hall’s actions and attitude.
Despite having made vast riches in the wrestling boom period, despite asking fans to pay for his own recent surgeries, Hall couldn’t even spare his signature for the sick child’s card. The Observer notes that this move will have infuriated Bill Goldberg, who already disliked Hall, and who was taking the cause of the child personally.
The young boy is six year old Danny Nickerson. He lives in Boston and the Observer states that he may not have much time left. Several big name wrestlers were asked to sign a card for him at a Phoenix Autograph event. All of them obliged, including Ric Flair, Bill Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Bret Hart and Edge.

On June 17th, Tna Wrestling posted a brief poll on their website to determine which style of ring they would permanently use from here on out — a classic four-sided ring, or the six-sides of yesteryear.
According to Tna, whichever ring received the most fan votes would be used from now on, starting with the television tapings in NYC on the June 25 – 27th weekend. The poll was originally set to end at midnight on Thursday, after a live edition of Impact. However, the voting time period was extended through Sunday, so as to incorporate the UK fans who wouldn’t see Impact until then.
