Ani Rangel Vulchanova is a Bulgarian actress, daughter of a director Rangel Vulchanov and granddaughter of the great Bulgarian composer Lyubomir Pipkov . She was born on March 2, 1966 in Sofia, Bulgaria. She studied piano at Musical School "Lyubomir Pipkov". In 1990 she graduated acting in the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in the class of Professor Nikolay Lyutskanov . Then she began to work in Drama Theatre "Sofia". She worked in the Drama Theatre "Sofia" from 1990 to 2006. From 2006 she was appointed in the Satire Theater. Her roles on the stage of the Satire Theater: Kristin in "Dinner for fools" by Francis Veber, directed by Jiri Menzel, 2001; Fiona Foster - "Where were you last night?" by Alan Eykbarn, directed by Jiri Menzel, 2003; Georgina - "Radovan III" by Dusan Kovacevic, directed by Rangel Vulchanov, 2008; Craze Girl in "Wallpaper Time" by Konstantin Pavlov, directed by Julia Ognyanova, 2009; Sister Tits in "The Secret Life of Mrs. Wilde" by Paul Zindell, directed by Boil Banov, 2010; Cleopatra in "Carnival" by Kamen Donev, director Kamen Donev, 2010; Bark in "Calendar Girls" by Tim Firth, director Andrey Avramov, 2011; Phyllis in "Central Park West" by Woody Allen, directed by Boyko Iliev, 2012; Woman in "Charms of Infidelity" by Valentin Krasnogorov, directed by Josif Surchadzhiev, 2012. She has nominated for the Award "Asker". In 2004, she won the Best Actress Prize at the National Film Festival for the role of Eva in the movie "You Are So Pretty, My Dear", directed by Georgi Djulgerov. In 2015, Ani Vulchanova won the Union of Bulgarian Actors' Award "Icarus" for Best Leading Actress in "The effect of gamma rays on the moon marigolds", directed by Mariy Rosen Grigorov.
