Lark Voorhies

Trivia

Lark Voorhies

Edit
  • Found out that Martin Lawrence ended their engagement when he was on The Arsenio Hall Show (1989) and said he was engaged to another woman.
  • Was in a relationship with her Sauvés par le gong (1989) co-star Mark-Paul Gosselaar during production of the show. They were together 1989-1992 and broke up when the show ended production.
  • Niece of Jermaine Jackson.
  • Was once engaged to Martin Lawrence.
  • She has played the same character (Lisa Turtle) on five different series: Bonjour, Miss Bliss (1987), Sauvés par le gong (1989), Sauvés par le gong: au lycée (1993), Sauvés par le gong: la nouvelle classe (1993) and Robot Chicken (2005).
  • Her first name, Lark, came from the character with the same name in the movie Touche pas aux diams (1972), portrayed by Margaret Avery.
  • Has had limited contact with her former Sauvés par le gong (1989) cast members on mini or unofficial reunion projects since the series ended. While she did appear in the 2009 People magazine cover shoot and article about the 20-year anniversary of the show's beginning on NBC, she did not appear in the 2015 sketch on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (2014) that brought back all of the other regulars along with Dennis Haskins, except for Dustin Diamond (who was not invited to either event due to his poor relationships with the rest of the cast). She also said that she hadn't seen and would not see the 2014 Lifetime movie based on Diamond's tell-all book about his days on Sauvés par le gong (1989), putting out a statement that "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.".
  • Filed for divorce from her 2nd husband Jimmy Green after less than 6 months of marriage. (October 2015)
  • Parents are Wayne and Tricia Holloway.
