    • Alfred Vohrer was born on December 29, 1914 in Stuttgart, Germany. He was a director and actor, known for La pluie noire (1972), Seul le vent connaît la réponse (1974) and Le gorille de Soho (1968). He was married to Herbert Vohrer-Dolpp. He died on February 3, 1986 in Munich, Bavaria, West Germany.

  • Was a member of the Wuttembergi National Theater in Stuttgart in the 1930s.
  • Frequently worked with cinematographer Karl Löb and, from La porte aux sept serrures (1962) on, almost all of his films had Eva Ebner as his assistant.
  • Was good friends with his longtime producer and collaborator Horst Wendlandt. They made 20 films together and often collaborated on script rewrites.
  • Lost his right arm during World War II and usually tried to avoid revealing that fact.
