Ground Zero Release Date Update: When & Where To Watch Emraan Hashmi’s War Thriller
Image
Ground Zero Digital Release Update (Photo Credit – Instagram)

After a theatrical release in 2025, Emraan Hashmi’s action thriller Ground Zero is now being prepared for release on the Ott platform. Released on 25 April 2025, the film is based on some real-life events and tries to render an intense story from India’s war on terror. It tries to impress the viewer with soft moments as well as gripping drama.

The film of extreme gritty realism was directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. It shows Emraan Hashmi as a timeless performer, blending strength with vulnerability. Initially, it gained mixed critical-theatre responses, especially on performances, story, and intense realization.

A Story of Duty, Courage & Redemption

Ground Zero follows the journey of Bsf officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, played by Hashmi, who is on a high-stakes mission to capture a dangerous terrorist, Ghazi Baba. The plot...

Ekta Kapoor
Kull (Season 1) ‘JioHotstar’ Series Review: Part Agatha Christie, Part Game of Thrones. Only Partly Good.
Ekta Kapoor
Backed by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Films, “Kull: The Legacy of the Raisingghs” has its Rajasthan royals bickering and scheming their way out of a stretched eight-episode series in the fictional city of Bilkaner. Set largely in and around the gorgeously intricate testament of Rajput architecture, the JioHotstar series attempts to be too many things and make too little of a mark. The series’s imaginative idea for the name of a fictional Rajasthani city is to add an ‘L’ to ‘Bikaner.’ Sadly, with its part Agatha Christie and part “Game of Thrones” inspired plot, “Kull” has to take that same ‘L’ when it comes to producing a coherently consistent story. The series shines only in patches, with the lead actors doing the bulk of the praiseworthy work.

Created by Sahir Raza, “Kull” reeks of indecision and oversight. To elaborate, let us look into the initial premise of the story.

Ground Zero Movie Review: Emraan Hashmi Pays A Fitting Tribute To An Unsung Hero, Keeping Patriotism At The Forefront!
Image
Ground Zero Movie Review Rating:

Star Cast: Emraan Hashmi, Sai Tamhankar, Zoya Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari, Rockey Raina, Rahul Vohra

Director: Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar

Ground Zero Movie Review(Photo Credit –Facebook)

What’s Good: Straight rendition of the real core story, with minimum dramatizations or masala.

What’s Bad: Zero score of negatives for Ground Zero!

Loo Break: Not at all, as it is crisp, and every scene is important.

Watch or Not?: Yes, one more welcome patriotic drama. In light of the latest Pahalgam tragedy, this assumes greater relevance.

Language: Hindi

Available On: Theatrical release

Runtime: 134 Minutes

User Rating:

Narendra Dube (Emraan Hashmi) is another unsung hero in our patriotic archives. Mercifully still alive (though with a bullet lodged in his spine!), he was the main man who succeeded in eliminating the Jaish-e-Mohammad commander, Ghazi Baba (Rockey Raina), who is said to have masterminded the 2001 Parliament Attack and...

Ground Zero Trailer Review: If Emraan Hashmi Says, “Kashmir Ka Badla Lega Fauji” Minus Any Jingoistic Chant, I Totally Trust Him!
Image
Ground Zero Trailer Review: Emraan Hashmi Is Winning This Fight! (Photo Credit – YouTube)

A few days ago, Emraan Hashmi surprised us with a totally new avatar in the teaser of Ground Zero, and now he is promising to deliver a hard-hitting film on Kashmir and its issues with the film trailer! Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, the film deals with the never-ending problem of terrorism in Kashmir and India’s struggle to deal with the same!

The premise of the film is clear: 70 soldiers lost their lives in yet another terrorist attack in Kashmir, and the officials decided to bring their best man to the mission – Bsf Officer Dubey, played by Emraan Hashmi.

The 2-minute 42-second trailer does not have anything new – it is the regular bomb shots, regular meat chunks scattered on an eerie road in Kashmir after the blast, and an officer getting nightmares as the first-hand witness of the bombing.

Image
New Delhi, Feb 22 (Ians) “Sadly, studying music or arts for a lifetime is not considered important enough. Success means winning a talent show and not otherwise. The singer, along with co-artistes Aneesh Pradhan (Tabla) and Sudhir Nayak (Harmonium) was recently in Chandigarh to perform ‘Rang Hori’ on the invitation of ‘Elsewhere’, conceived in the memory of Sangeet Natak Akademi award-winning playwright and author Swadesh Deepak, added: “I was a member of the Central Advisory Board of Education constituted by the Government of India, a focus group discussing the need for introducing an arts education programme in mainstream school education during the National Curriculum Framework 2005. Ridhi plays the role of Astha in the show, which revolves around same-sex love or lesbianism -- a topic considered taboo by many.

"'The Married Woman' has been a great journey, which I will cherish forever. When I watched the entire show recently, I got emotional.
