He also starred (he had the leading role) in the Flemish youth fiction series 'Keromar' ( 1971).

After several presenter jobs he left the public television BRT at the end of 1988.

He presented several TV programs, such as Spel zonder Grenzen = Jeux sans Frontières (It's a Knockout) , the quiz Dubbel Dobbel (Double Dice ) and the Eurovision Song Contest.

He toured about 10 years together with Zaki ( Jackie Dewaele) and their Mike And Zaki Show International.

He hosted the programmes Binnen en Buiten (1973) and Hotel Américain (1983) and his talk shows Met Mike in zee (1984) and Mike (1986).

Verdrengh started as DJ on the very end of the sixties at the Flemish radio.

Since 2000 he focused mainly on his job as actor.

Verdrengh also recorded some singles. "Hello, Madame the Baroness" from 1969, which was actually a B-side, is perhaps the best known in Flanders.

He became co-founder (with Guido De Praetere), former TV-manager & director of the first Flemish commercial channel VTM which started broadcasting in 1989.
