The Awful '80s Comedy That Keanu Reeves Headlined Before His Rise To Fame
Image
It's easy to look at Keanu Reeves' long career and surmise that the man has been on top for decades. As the star of the "John Wick" films, he cemented his standing as one of the all-time greats of Hollywood and has a long list of equally great movies on his résumé dating all the way back to the 1980s. But like any actor, Reeves has experienced ups and downs, and some of the downs have been pretty abject.

Even prior to his first appearance as the titular assassin in 2014's "John Wick," Reeves was at a real nadir career-wise. His 2010 rom-com "Henry's Crime" failed at the box office, after which Reeves took a short break from acting to produce a documentary before starring in the independent drama "Generation Um..." in 2012. That film currently bears a 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes, which isn't always the best guide, but in the case of "Generation Um.

Tara Sutaria & Veer Pahariya’s Lunch Date: Serving Romance with a Side of Style and a Dash of Mystery
Image
Looks like Tara Sutaria and Veer Pahariya are really keeping their fans guessing—and their hearts racing! The rumored couple was spotted on August 12, enjoying what seemed like a cozy lunch date in the lively streets of Bandra, Mumbai. And let me tell you, their chemistry was undeniable, even without any posed photos.

It all kicked off when Tara, the queen of effortless style, stepped out of a trendy café in a chic all-white ensemble. She rocked a fitted tank top paired with loose trousers and an oversized shirt, the perfect combo for a laid-back Mumbai afternoon. Her crisp white loafers, brown-tinted sunglasses, and that sleek designer handbag completed the look—definitely a “casual but I know you’re being nosy” vibe. With her short hair framing her face, she radiated that cool-girl energy that screams, “Yes, I’m fabulous, and I’m on a date. What’s it to you?...

Dear Imtiaz Ali, Amar Singh Chamkila Was Good, But Why Did You Let His Wife Amarjot Kaur Die Two Times?
Image
Amar Singh Chamkila Was A Biopic On The Late Punjabi Singer (Photo Credit – Instagram)

It was the unfateful day of March 8, 1988, when, at around 2 Pm, in the village of Mehsampur (Punjab), two singers were shot dead. Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot Kaur, a husband and wife who saw fame, money, success, and, unfortunately, death together! Two singers who were bound together by fate and talent, only to die together unfatefully! Years later, in 2024, Imtiaz Ali metamorphosed this uneventful day on-screen.

But in order to make a biopic on the late singer, Imtiaz was able to justify the story of this much-loved and adored couple of Punjab. Chamkila’s biopic definitely made the singer and his wife live again. Their original video and songs are once again breathing. But at what cost?

Amar Singh Chamkila is a brilliant film, but to achieve this brilliance, did Amarjot Kaur have to die twice?...

Carina Conti in Mafia: The Old Country – Meet the Actress Behind Isabella Torrisi
Image
Carina Conti, the actress who’s playing the role of Isabella Torrisi in Mafia: The Old Country, looks exceptionally well in the game. With a handful of roles in movies and TV series, it’s her first time voicing a video game character. She not only gave her voice but also motion captured for Isabella, the daughter of Bernardo Torrisi.

In Mafia: The Old Country, Isabella Torrisi is portrayed as a smart and passionate woman who wants to spend her life away from her father’s glare. While growing up in one of early Sicily’s biggest crime families, she also falls in love with Enzo Favara, the main protagonist of this game.

Given the seriousness of the character in one of Rockstar’s major IPs, Carina Conti has done a great job, and it would be interesting to see her performance in the game.

My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 Trailer and Key Art Debut
Image
Netflix has unveiled the official trailer and key art My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2, which is set to premiere on the streaming service on August 28, 2025.

After leaving Silver Falls following Alex’s love confession and her kiss with Cole, Jackie Howard spent the summer in New York City. When Katherine convinces her to return to Colorado, Jackie is determined to make amends with Alex and set boundaries with Cole while finding her place within the Walter family.

But fitting back in isn’t that easy. Alex, who changed a lot over the summer, isn’t too thrilled about Jackie’s attempts to reconnect, as he’s focused on training for a risky rodeo event (and enjoying all of the new attention he’s getting).

Meanwhile, Cole takes on a new role at school, but when that doesn’t quite fill the void left by not playing football, his old ways resurface,...

‘My Life With The Walter Boys’ Season 2 Trailer Teases Jackie’s Return To “Complicated” Dynamic Between Alex And Cole
Image
Netflix has released the full trailer for Season 2 of My Life With the Walter Boys, which arrives on the streamer August 28.

Right off the bat, Ellie O’Brien’s Grace asks Nikki Rodriguez’s Jackie Howard what it’s like being back in Silver Falls after she abruptly left to return to New York at the end of Season 1.

“Are you still with Alex? Because everybody’s talking about it,” Grace tells Jackie, who responds with, “It’s complicated.”

Grace then reminds viewers that Jackie and Cole kissed last season.

Katherine (Sarah Rafferty) and George Walter (Marc Blucas) watch from the sidelines as Jackie tries to reintegrate into the family, Katherine knowing that Jackie left because of whatever happened with Alex (Ashby Gentry) and Cole (Noah Lalonde).

There’s Nothing Like Being on Stage” — Tara Sutaria Talks Music, Movies & Meaning
Image
Tara Sutaria has always been more than just an actor on screen. Over the past year, she’s taken a deeply professional shift one that brought her back to her artistic core. With the release of her film Apurva, Tara found herself at a turning point, not only in her film career but in her creative identity.

Talking about the same Tara said, “Apurva felt like that film changed my life because a lot of realisations happened to me during the filming of that movie and its release. I think it’s the most successful film in my filmography. I realise after I finished that film – something just snapped inside me and I said okay, I need to know that I’ve done this because it was my dream to do a movie like that. I’d rather do few films and focus on a film like Apurva that gives...

Marriage Is on Her Mind; Children, Not So Much

When the conversation moved to marriage, Tara’s response was certain: “Most certainly yes.” She described her idea of an ideal partner—someone who’s emotionally strong, self-aware, and makes time for meaningful connection. However, questions about having children brought a thoughtful pause: “I can’t say that I’ve thought about it that much,...

Cape and Starz Name Showrunners Incubator Class of 2025 for Asian Pacific Islander TV Writers (Exclusive)
Image
The Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (Cape) has named its Showrunners Incubator class of 2025.

The #TakeTheLead diversity initiative is back for a second year. “Nancy Drew” and “Tom Swift” executive producer and showrunner Melinda Hsu is acting as chair of the program. The incubator provides writers who are on the brink of showrunning with exclusive mentorship and real-world training and education.

“According to the WGA’s latest job statistics, there were over 1,300 TV writing jobs lost last season—nearly half of them at the co-executive producer to showrunner level,” said Rhian Moore, Cape’s head of programs. “This sharp decline means even fewer opportunities for writers to gain the leadership experience they need, both in the writers’ room and on set. With alumni from our inaugural year already finding success as they step into showrunning roles, Cape is excited to continue our work training the next generation of creative leaders.

‘Criminal Minds’ Star Teases Voit’s Importance in “Really Intellectual” Season 19
Image
The Bau may have successfully dealt with the Disciple problem in that final episode of Criminal Minds Season 18, but there’s still the Elias Voit matter. Zach Gilford has portrayed the infamous serial killer since Season 16, but became a changed person in the recently concluded installment; no longer a psychopath. Of course, that doesn’t mean he has been absolved of his crimes, as viewers last saw him heading back to prison in the Season 18 finale. Nevertheless, that’s certainly not the end for Voit, according to one of the show's lead stars, who has teased his importance in future episodes.

Aisha Tyler, whose character Tara was shot in Criminal Minds Season 18, elaborated on Voit's continued presence as a major player in the show’s upcoming season. She told TV Insider that, similar to real-life situations involving “the criminal and the law officer”, the relationship between the Bau and Voit is symbiotic,...

‘Criminal Minds: Evolution’: Aisha Tyler Reveals Why Tara’s ‘Thriving’ in Season 19
Image
The good news: Expect some joy from Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 19 after the Bau suffered a lot of loss this past year. For example, Tara and Rebecca (Nicole Pacent), who ended Season 18 engaged, are happy, Aisha Tyler told TV Insider. But that doesn’t mean that the Bau isn’t still going to have to deal with their Voit problem. Zach Gilford debuted as the serial killer Elias Voit (a.k.a. Sicarius) in Season 16, with a network of like-minded individuals. Before the end of that season, he’d kidnapped and trapped Rossi (Joe Mantegna) in a storage unit. Then, in Season 17, he had knowledge of Gold Star, the next Big Bad. At the end of that season, he was attacked in prison. Season 18 began with Voit in a coma as a result, then when he woke, he was changed. He had amnesia and brain scans showed he was no longer a psychopath.

Has Criminal Minds: Evolution Lost the Plot?
Image
With the end of Criminal Minds: Evolution’s latest season, it’s time to ponder what’s become of the show.

When Criminal Minds first launched, it had a pretty tight premise: a team of elite FBI profilers hunting serial killers by getting inside their heads.

They got inside just enough to understand them, stop them, and move on.

(Michael Yarish/Paramount+)

Sure, the unsubs were creepy and compelling, but the focus was always on the team. The Bau. The bonds, the profiling, the crime-solving.

Even when episodes got dark — and they often did — the killers didn’t take over the narrative. They were case studies, not co-stars.

Voit’s internal struggles with himself lead him to a desperate kidnapping. But Rossi’s obsession brings the Bau closer to the truth than they’ve ever been. (Bill Inoshita/Paramount + © 2022 ABC Studios Inc. and CBS Studios Inc. All Rights Reserved.

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 10 recap: Who is The Disciple?
Image
This post contains spoilers from Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 10.

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 9 was a rollercoaster of emotions as Nurse John fooled Dr. Ochoa and the Bau when he joined Voit’s two-week nurse rotation. On duty, he’s spying on Voit for the network, and off the clock, he’s tying up loose ends to run the Bau ragged. Meanwhile, Voit pisses everyone off trying to be the good guy using unhealthy habits. Then, he’s abducted after trying to keep him and Dr. Ochoa concealed from the hospital bloodbath.

Adam Rodriguez (Luke) and Aisha Tyler’s (Tara) collective warning about season 3’s finale being “explosive” had me nervous. They lead me to theorize if Dr. Ochoa was The Disciple or Tessa, while also wondering if Voit would turn evil. One of those predictions was extremely wrong, while others were correct. Episode 10 was packed with powerful and heartfelt scenes,...

Criminal Minds Season 18 Finale Review: The Disciple is Unmasked
Image
Well, that was… not at all what I expected.

When the team discovered someone was working on the inside out, I naively refused to believe it could only be Dr. Ochoa’s new male nurse responsible.

I was wrong, and my expectations for the finale to shake things up were too high, making Criminal Minds Season 18 Episode 10 a bit of a letdown.

(Michael Yarish/Paramount+)

Maybe I should redefine that. It was more than a bit of a letdown.

Between my inability to accept a character that had only been introduced an episode earlier as the “inside man” that supposedly fed The Disciple information about Elias Voit for a long time, to the spoilery description released weeks ago on IMDb, this one fell very short.

How the hell did we get here?

Criminal Minds Evolution Season 18 Episode 9 Recap: Did The Disciple Kill Voit?
Image
The penultimate episode of the 18th season of Criminal Minds: Evolution gets really intense with the mysterious disciple pulling strings to leave Bau in complete disarray. The team struggles to pinpoint the identity of the disciple, but an even bigger problem arises as the crook starts eliminating loose ends by murdering families of the serial killer network. As the episode begins, Rossi and Emily’s suspicion about hospital staffers leaking case intel proves to be true, as a certain John Perry, attendant of Melgren Medical—where Voit is admitted to—is revealed to secretly be part of the disciple’s network. Perry uses a silencer to shoot the wife of Trevor Wolner to death before leaving the Yase Otoko mask at the crime scene. Trevor is a recently captured member of Voit’s network who didn’t follow the protocol of killing himself to evade capture by the Bau, and before leaving,...

But honestly? After how jam-packed My Life With the Walter Boys Season 1 was, a weekly release might’ve been the better call.

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 9 recap: The Disciples blindside the Bau
Image
This post contains spoilers from Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 9.

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 8 was emotional, twisty, and impactful as I watched Tara fight for her life. Some fans may think the Bau made no progress, but the episode showed how far someone would go to hurt the Bau. This caused the team to leave no stone unturned as they uncovered more about Voit and Uncle Cyrus’ past and their connections to the present danger.

Episode 9 left me yelling at my TV as the "to be continued" flashed across the screen. The events had one thing in common: Viewers were unknowingly following new hire, nurse John, through the events of the past eight days. With heavy suspicion, I said, “Nurse John is a part of this.” As the crime scene hit Penelope’s servers, the Bau figured out the network was tying up loose ends.

Criminal Minds Season 18 Episode 9 Review: A Penultimate Pile-Up With Paper Footballs and Loose Ends
Image
We’re almost at the finish line, and Criminal Minds Season 18 Episode 9 seems determined to cram in exposition like it’s packing for a weekend trip and just realized it owns 37 black t-shirts.

This episode was a case study in setup — with all the heavy lifting of a finale’s blueprint, but none of the emotional payoff you’d expect from a penultimate episode. People disappeared, boxes arrived, Voit folded a paper football, and yet, I can’t help but feel… flat.

Let’s start there.

(Michael Yarish/Paramount+) When the Penultimate Feels Less Than

There’s a rhythm to Criminal Minds. Even Evolution, for all its rebrand-heavy quirks, knows how to build to a finale. Usually. But this hour? It played more like a checklist.

Reposition this character. Lose that character. Plant a clue here. Drop a red herring there. Cue the “Wtf” music. Rinse. Repeat.

Criminal Minds: Evolution star teases ‘explosive’ end in season 3 finale
Image
Criminal Minds isn’t a stranger to creating explosive endings that leave fans wanting more. Not only is the Bau hunting one unsub a week, but they’re also tackling a whole network of unsubs who teach each other to kill more effectively. For weeks, the episodes have left fans wondering if the Bau will take down the network, if Voit is still a bad guy, and how the team will emerge on the other side.

Criminal Minds stars tease season 3’s explosive ending

When Adam Rodrigez (Luke) told US Weekly that season 3 would be a wild ride, noting that fans will be distraught by the end until season 4 premieres, ahead of season 3’s premiere, we knew this season would destroy us. From Will’s sudden death to Tara’s shooting, fans have been distraught since episode 2, and according to Rodrigez, the finale packs a punch.

‘Criminal Minds’ Star, 46, Teases the Season 18 Finale “Does What the Show Does Best”

Thursday, July 10, seems like a lifetime away for fans of the revived Criminal Minds as they eagerly await that cliffhanger Season 18 finale that Adam Rodriguez previously promised. Meanwhile, close to two months ago, Rodriguez, who portrays Luke in the procedural, teased a pretty intense finale, similar to Aisha Tyler, who mentioned “a lot of complexity” attached to both the penultimate and the finale.

Most recently, one of the newest stars in Criminal Minds, Aimee Garcia, who joined Season 18 as Dr. Julia Ochoa, has an extra update about the highly anticipated Season 18 finale, which, according to her, will do what the show does best. She told TVLine:

“It’s obviously about family and love and loss, but it also makes you wonder if things are as they seem,...

Buffy Reboot: Charisma Carpenter Hopeful for ‘Poetic’ Return After Character’s ‘Unjust’ End in Spinoff
Image
Despite Cordelia Chase’s unfortunate demise in the Buffy spinoff Angel, Charisma Carpenter is game to revive the character in the upcoming Buffy reboot.

In June, Sarah Michelle Gellar said her “dream is to bring back everyone who has died” in the original series. Speaking with IGN, Carpenter threw Cordy’s hat into the ring, saying that her return to the series would be “poetic” after the character’s “unjust” end in Angel’s final season.

Captain Marvel Star Brie Larson Nearly Quit Acting Before Her Oscar Win — Until A Role In This TV Series Changed Everything
Image
Which Role Held Back Brie Larson From Quitting Acting? (Photo Credit – Instagram)

Before she took home the Oscar for Room and became Captain Marvel, Brie Larson was close to giving it all up. Acting, Hollywood, auditions – she was done. According to The Sunday Morning Herald, the grind wasn’t paying off, her peers were off to college, and she was stuck chasing a dream that felt more like a dead end. But then came United States of Tara. And it changed everything.

At the time, she’d auditioned to play Kate, the rebellious daughter in the Showtime series created by Diablo Cody. Toni Collette was already attached, and Brie worshipped her. “Nobody in the world could do that role but me,” she once said (per Smh). When she didn’t get it, it felt like the universe was sending a message. She was ready to walk. She even started applying to college,...

"Bau Is The Most Emotionally Constipated Team On TV": How Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Finale Propels Season 4 Teased By Stars
Image
While Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 is heading toward a killer series finale, series star Aisha Tyler promises season 4 will bring plenty more emotional turmoil for the Bau. Throughout all 15 seasons of Criminal Minds, one ironic truth has remained true. For professional psychological analysts, the Bau members themselves are pretty terrible at handling their emotions.

This makes for great television, although happy endings like Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3, episode 8 are hard to come by. Fortunately, series star Aisha Tyler told TVLine that “There’s a really great puzzle box through the end of the season. The end is explosive and will propel everybody into the beginning of [Season 4] in a really exciting way.”

Dr. Julia Ochoa’s actor, Aimee Garcia, added thoughts of her own, saying: “[Season 3's story] makes you wonder if things are as they seem and if things are really buttoned up, or not. All the seeds that have been planted this...

“A Really Beautifully Built Puzzle Box”: ‘Criminal Minds’ Star, 54, Teases What’s to Come in Season 18's Finale Episodes
Image
Following the events of the latest episode of Criminal Minds Season 18, fans are super eager to see how the crime drama wraps things up in the finale. This season is set to have ten episodes, with the finale scheduled to air next month, meaning only two episodes remain before we (maybe) find out if Elias Voit (Zach Gilford) is truly out of play and who exactly is The Disciple. Episode 8, titled “Tara,” already showed the serial killer try to have the BAUchase their own tails, and while that didn’t work, the profilers were still unable to work out the identity.

In “Tara,” Aisha Tyler’s character, who the episode is named after, underwent surgery after getting shot twice in a car park ambush at the end of Episode 7. Fortunately, she pulled through, and as you may expect, she now has an entirely new view on life. Tyler broke down the emotional episode with EW,...

“It Takes a Toll”’: ‘Criminal Minds’ Star Hints at What’s Next for Their Fan-Favorite Character After This Week’s Brutal Episode
Image
The past few days have been pretty rough for the Bau, who almost lost one of their own —again in the latest episode of Criminal Minds Season 18. Titled “Tara,” Episode 8 saw the titular character, portrayed by Aisha Tyler, undergo surgery after getting shot twice in a car park ambush in the previous episode. Fortunately, she pulled through. With this second chance at life, she wasted no time in proposing to her girlfriend Rebecca (Nicole Pacent) in the presence of her “chosen family,” her team members, who, of course, gave their blessings.

Discussing the episode with EW, Tyler addressed the possibility of Criminal Minds Season 18 ever veering in the direction of killing off a major character like hers. She noted that while she had no idea if such would still happen, “there’s only so many deaths one can take in a season.” The actress then mentioned real-life profilers who have had many run-ins with death,...

"I Don’t Think She’s Delusional": Aisha Tyler Breaks Down That Stunning Twist In Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3, Episode 8
Image
Criminal Minds star Aisha Tyler breaks down the surprise ending of Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3, episode 8, and how it impacts her character. After a breathless and climactic episode, which saw Tara shot twice in the abdomen as the Bau sought to take down Disciple and stop Sicarius, Tara recovered and proposed to her partner, the DOJ's Rebecca Wilson.

It was an ending with much-needed hope and joy amid a season (and show) that has gotten very dark, very quickly. And, while Tara still has some recovering to do, the emotionally charged and optimistic ending leaves a lot to be excited about for the two characters. It also shows that even in times of darkness, love can still endure.

In an interview with TV Insider, Tyler discussed Tara's decision, and how she had to overcome the fear of letting someone in with the dangerous life she leads. She confirmed that Tara...

Hallmark Star Alec Santos Details Unforgettable ‘Machu Picchu Proposal’ Shoot
Image
Hallmark Channel’s newest film, ‘A Machu Picchu Proposal’, is set to premiere this week, a movie that combines romance, love, unexpected moments, and fun. Set in the Peruvian landscape of Machu Picchu, the story centers around Katie, whose brother’s wedding proposal goes downhill.

She finds herself in Carlos’s orbit, a chef with a whole lot of charm who prefers following his instinct over itineraries. Actor Alec Santos, who plays Carlos in the film, recently talked about shooting the flick in paradise during a chat with TV Fanatic.

Bucket List Location

Alec tells TV Fanatic that making the movie was “… a dream come true”. He adds, “We shot in Machu Picchu, right? That is a bucket-list place for so many people.”

With that said, the filming was not overly peaceful as the movie was not a closed set, with a lot of background noise, from people shouting to dogs barking,...

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 8 recap: Diving deeper into Tara’s background
Image
This post contains spoilers from Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 8.

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 7 wreaked havoc from all angles. The Uncle Cyrus deepfake failed to turn Voit evil, but succeeded in breaking Penelope’s spirit when a keystroke results in a victim’s death. If Sicarius Spiders didn’t scare us enough, Tara lying unconscious with bullet wounds gutted fans. I’m still in shambles as the pain continues in episode 8 with Tara fighting for her life.

Episode 8 dove headfirst into Tara’s grief and discovered she had closed herself off from love and commitment after losing her mom to cancer. Fans learned more about Tara than ever before while sobbing over her impending battle. Meanwhile, the Bau was pulling an all-nighter to uncover answers on Tara’s shooting by the disciple known as Mr. Lonely Heart (who ironically was kicked off the network while Voit was running it). With each new clue,...

‘Criminal Minds: Evolution’: Aisha Tyler on Exploring Tara & Her Mother’s Relationship, That Big Decision & More
Image
[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 18 Episode 8 “Tara.”] “It’s always interesting when you get a script that has your character’s name on the front,” Aisha Tyler says with a laugh. “You’re always like, ‘What’s going to happen?!'” After the previous episode ended with her character, Dr. Tara Lewis, getting shot, the Thursday, June 26, one sees her in surgery, then unconscious in the hospital while, in her mind, she speaks with her mother (Latanya Richardson Jackson), who died when she was young. Their conversations — “You’re a high-functioning overachiever who became a fixer to avoid grief, but unprocessed heartbreak like yours weighs you down,” her mom warns — lead Tara to, once she’s recovering and out of the hospital, propose to her girlfriend, Rebecca (Nicole Pacent), while at the Bau for a visit. Below, Aisha Tyler opens up about getting to explore a different side of Tara, that proposal,...

Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 8 Review: Death, Dreams, and the Ghosts Who Keep Us Company
Image
What is it about the near-death episodes that always go a little sideways?

They flirt with the metaphysical, give us emotional flashbacks, and usually end with a heart monitor spiking back to life right before the final act.

But when Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 8 throws Tara into that familiar liminal space between life and death, it somehow manages to feel deeply personal.

(Michael Yarish/Paramount+)

And not just for Tara — for me, for the team, for anyone who’s ever begged the world to slow down and notice they’re not okay.

Let’s just say this wasn’t an easy one to write. Because, like Tara, I’ve been there — screaming inside while the world just keeps spinning.

(Michael Yarish/Paramount+) The Brutal Barrier Between Life and Death

The first few minutes of this episode are deceptively simple. Tara “wakes” up, confused and cold, muttering about coffee and...

Criminal Minds Evolution Season 18 Episode 8 Recap: Is Cyrus Still Alive?
Image
Following the horrid cliff-hanger at the end of the previous episode, which saw Dr. Tara Lewis and DOJ Prosecutor Evan getting shot by a masked assailant, the eighth episode of the ongoing season of Criminal Minds opens on a somber note. Evan is revealed to have sustained minor injuries, and he recuperates, while Tara’s injuries appear critical as she undergoes surgery and, in a comatose state, clings to dear life. The assailant, who was seen wearing a Yase Otoko mask, is initially considered to be connected with Voit, but further investigation reveals the situation to be more complex than that assessment. Overall, with two more episodes remaining in this season, the eighth episode takes some time off of the central investigation to reflect upon Tara as a character, and is pretty self-contained in its approach.

Spoilers Ahead

Sarah Michelle Gellar teases bringing back fan-favorite characters for the Buffy reboot
Image
Fans of Buffy The Vampire Slayer might see some of their favorites returning to the upcoming reboot. Sarah Michelle Gellar has teased to Vanity Fair Italia, that she hopes some of her former co-stars will appear in the supernatural series.

Gellar told the outlet that she and the show’s makers are working to balance new and old characters in the reboot. “My dream is to bring back everyone who has died, but space will have to be made for new stories as well.”

The show was famous for not being afraid to kill off characters, even when it wasn’t the most popular decision with fans. Decades later and fans haven’t forgiven creator Joss Whedon for Tara’s demise.

Alyson Hannigan’s Willow seems a likely character to bring back. Xander, who is played by Nicholas Brendon, is less surefire due to the actor’s own personal issues.

Netflix released the first batch of photos from the upcoming second season, but hasn’t announced a confirmed premiere date. All the streamer is promising is that season two will debut this summer.

Sarah Michelle Gellar in Buffy contre les vampires (1997)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Dead characters may live again?
Sarah Michelle Gellar in Buffy contre les vampires (1997)
After years of rumors, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is going full steam ahead on a reboot series, that will see Sarah Michelle Gellar reprise her iconic role, alongside a new slayer played by the newly cast Ryan Kiera Armstrong. However, one thing on the minds of many old school fans is whether or not any classic characters might join Gellar in the reboot.

While a guest at the Filming Italy Sardegna Festival, Gellar opened up to the press about her vision for the new series, which comes from Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao.“It will be lighter than the last few seasons of the original. We will try to find a balance between new and old characters. My dream is to bring back everyone who has died, but space will have to be made for new stories as well.”

Bring back characters who died? Does that mean we’ll potentially see...

Alec Santos Brings Heart and Soul to Hallmark From Machu Picchu to Christmas Magic
Image
Hallmark’s A Machu Picchu Proposal feels like a postcard come to life — vibrant, romantic, and filled with the kind of unexpected moments that only travel (and love) can bring.

When Katie’s brother’s proposal plans go sideways, she finds herself entangled with Carlos, a charming chef who’d rather follow instinct than itineraries.

The result? A sweeping adventure set against the breathtaking Peruvian landscape — and a love story that blossoms in the shadow of one of the world’s most awe-inspiring wonders.

For actor Alec Santos, who plays Carlos, filming the movie on location was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“It was a dream come true in many ways,” Alec shared. “We shot in Machu Picchu, right? That is a bucket-list place for so many people.”

But shooting in a world wonder isn’t exactly peaceful. “It’s not a closed set. There’s a lot of noise — dogs barking,...

My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 First Look
Image
Netflix has shared a first look at My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2, which is set to launch on the streaming service this summer.

Meanwhile, Cole takes on a new role at school, but when that doesn’t quite fill the void left by not playing football, his old ways...

Scream 7: Everything We Know About the New Sequel
Image
In 2022, Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media revived the Scream franchise with a new entry (the fifth) that was a box office hit, earning almost $139 million at the global box office. Fourteen months later, Scream VI came along – and became an even bigger hit, pulling in almost $169 million at the global box office, a number that was up there with the series’ heyday, when the first Scream and Scream 2 made just over $170 million. (Scream 3 also made over $160 million – only Scream 4 failed to crack $100 million.) So, of course, the companies are moving full steam ahead with Scream 7. While the movie seemed, initially, to be on the fast-track to success, the track it’s on has turned out to be a shockingly bumpy ride.

Melissa Barrera entered the franchise with the fifth Scream as a character named Samantha Carpenter, who turns out to have been the...

Season 1 watched Jackie move in with the Walters family, led by her late mother’s best friend Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty) after she lost both parents and her older sister Lucy in a tragic car accident. 'Buffy' Star Shares Big "Dream" for Reboot That Some Fans Might Not Like
Image
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot may be moving forward with a new slayer, but if Sarah Michelle Gellar has her way, the show will still cling to the past by featuring a lot of familiar faces. Though an official series order has yet to be made by Hulu, things are looking good for the Buffy reboot, which recently cast Ryan Kiera Armstrong to lead the pilot episode, which will be the litmus test of whether the show gets picked up or not.

Speaking with Vanity Fair Italia, Gellar revealed a number of things about the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, including her big "dream" for the series, which would involve a lot of creativity should it come to pass. She would also add that compared to the last couple of seasons of the original show – which were undoubtedly some of the darkest in terms of tone and content – this...

"My Dream Is to Bring Back Everyone Who Has Died": Sarah Michelle Gellar Shares New Details About The Buffy Reboot
Image
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot has received an exciting update from Sarah Michelle Gellar. Gellar played the titular character for seven seasons from 1997-2003, and stated for years that the series ran its course, and that she was done with the role. However, Gellar is returning for a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot with Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao directing the pilot episode for Hulu and showrunners Nora Zuckerman and Lila Zuckerman. Gellar will be a recurring guest star and an executive producer. Ryan Kiera Armstrong will lead the series as a new Slayer, with no other casting announcements made yet.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Gellar assures that the reboot will be lighter in tone than the final few seasons of the original show. She also says the creative team is trying to find a balance with new and old characters, with her hope that everyone who was killed off can return.
